Oh sorry, so Iâve not been playing the game because I only got to 2.7k RIO, and then needed to go back to work, so couldnât play for most of the season whilst players were pushing past the requirements to go that extra 300 rating so they can flex on the forums to get their point across, instead of clearing up the content they missed out on, which everyone else did in the first 2 weeks of the expansion.
Well Iâm glad my Luxury Travel job takes me around the world, whilst those 3k guys are sat in front of their computer screens steaming because they just found out they need to farm 15 renown.
No, they use what is provided to them to help them get by⌠and most of the time theyâre just happy and get on with what theyâre capable of doing.
And this topic is about people not being able to be bothered to farm 15 renown, it has nothing to do with disabilities.
It is 2 things obviously. When blizzard states we do not need renown outside of transmogs, people who are not interested are not going to grind it. That is for sure. But also when going out in the current world is making you literally sick, you are also not very motivated to do it either.
And you act like we have a choice of getting sick or not. Those motion sickness options are not working. You act like we have not tried to get out in the world. But sure somewhere you give up when it literally makes you sick.
Have you tried to play for 10 months on a ground mount? Have you tried to get around in the cavern only on a ground mount? Noticed how terrible the areas are designed for a ground mount? No you probably not.
The game is created with flying in mind. It is what it is. Sure there are options to also get renown. But you have to go out of your normal playstyle. You have to grind it instead of play the game.
It is unfortunately some people do not realise and just throw the most nonsense argument with âjust play the gameâ. You have no clue what you talk about.
Did they really say that though? Or is it just another one of those things which players thought they said.
Besides whether they actually said it or not, that was the case for a very long time. And I have never thought it unreasonable to expect some kind of Pathfinder or Meta achievement to be implemented into a later patch, and Renown is by far an obvious inclusion into that system.
Oh and lets not forget all those players who want Blizzard to make old content relevant again.
Yet and if the world continued to move at the pace of the slowest people, we would still be in caveman times. (which might be better considering the current world situations).
Instead the world moves at the speed of it fittest and best, and then does what it can do to help the less abled enjoy the experience as well. But you canât dumb down the experience of those at the top, just because you struggling to get off the starting line (exaggerated comparison).
Itâs not about not having a clue. Its a simple case of not caring.
The guy making the argument that theyâre 3k rated and didnât bother to do renown, it more than capable of learning to Dragonride. Theyâre just defeatist and canât be bothered to try something new.
Motion sickness, I understand, I suffered from it as a child. But if something is making you sick and spoiling the experience, donât torture yourself⌠just do something that doesnât upset you.
And next patch Pathfinder will be available, and if youâve been playing the game to date, youâll have all the requirements completed already.
Yes but this doesnât mean there canât be a little consideration given to such people.
All weâre talking about here is removing the requiement for 6 rep grinds from an achievement that doesnât really need this.
The rep grinds are still there. And people who struggle with dragon riding might actually complete the rep grinds if they can use normal flying to do so.
Removing this requirement doesnât impact on the game in any way. Those that have done the rep grind would have done it anyhow. Iâm doing them, wonât be finished it for quite a while, itâs not fast when you canât just fly around digging dirt, killing rares and clearing WQs.
This requirement harms some players but doesnât benefit any players. This is a Lose - Draw situation.
Removing the rep requirement is a Win - Draw situation.
Exploration seems more appropriate tbh rather than renown. I donât think anyone minds having to run around on the ground, or be flown around by a friend to discover all the nook and crannies.
Yes, exactly. This more than Dragonriding needed to unlock and is pretty much what Zerith Mortis needed. The only rough part of Zerith Mortis unlock for flying was the req to kill 10 rares. Getting to them before they died was a pain when others could fly and you couldnât.
There is and there has been. But it doesnât matter how considerate you are, there will always be a small minority of players that itâs not good enough for. And theyâll kick up a fuss about it. Just like what has happened here.
Both are the requirements, along with completing the basic story questlines of each zone.
An easy to complete achievement to anyone who has played Dragonflight since launch (if somehow they havenât managed to do so already), and not much to do to catch up on for new players. Itâs simply the basics.
Why do you even care so much if people get flying for free? The zones and quests were designed with flying in mind. Flying is not a reward, itâs a basic mechanic that is required to clear the content without suffering.
What? Do you get enjoyment out of telling everyone how easy it is and that anyone who didnât get the requirements by now is bad and doing it wrong?
