Pathfinder is a slap in the face

Then you’ll understand how easy it is to obtain the achievement.

Why all the fuss and drama.

The only drama I’m seeing is people reacting to requests to make pathfinder easier as if it’s going to kill the game.

I can understand the difficulties caused by dragon riding for those who suffer from motion sickness or have disabilities that have made dragon riding difficult to use. Therefore not being able to grind renown without a person willing to be their valiant steed to get about.

Something you’ve not grasped once in this discussion.

  1. Ion said that renown was only for cosmectics and we didnt need to do any of it.
2)SL flying had no rep invold
3)you are not understanding people have illness and they can not use dragonflying

All you are doing is spreading hate , nobody here wants dragon flying removed or even hating it like always Billy reads what he wants tries to batters others into his way of thinking.
Understand people can not do something its that simply.

To be honest I find most people are understanding about the issues. Even if they love dragon riding they can empathise that not everyone is like them and it might be problematic for a small percentage of the playerbase.

Answers you get like “just play the game” is basically trolling and baiting others and showing no empathy.
Frankly its the type of answer a toddler would come up with.

Pathfinder could not be easier. It’s basics.

Explore, Quest, a small amount of Rep.

I fully understand the struggles people are having. I just don’t think that it is a reason to dumb down the game for everyone else. Infact, I think that is a terrible idea. More should be invested into bringing those players up to the same level as everyone else, rather than ruining the experience of those who don’t have issues.

The game needs to progress, and progression can’t be held back because a small amount of people get dizzy when the screen moves. It’s better to try and reduce the Dizziness and find new ways to improve their experience, rather than dampening the experience of everyone else.

THAT is what you’re failing to grasp.

I asked for a source on that earlier on. But still even if it was said, that comment is irrelevant.

We all have played this game long enough to realise anything like that said is only good for the immediate future. Anything is game 12 months down the line. And after all, the player base is always moaning that Content goes stale too quickly. Well here is Blizzard keeping old content Relevant.

It’s not a lack of understanding. I’m fully aware. But I don’t think the game should be dumbed down for everyone else, just because a few people get dizzy when the screen moves. Find ways to make it less dizziness inducing. But you’ll never make everyone happy.

Oh so my valid opinion on the topic is “hate” now. Sorry, I’m not spreading hate at all. I’m merely putting my opinion in this topic. I’m not hating on anyone.

Stop gaslighting.!

Most demeaning and belittling comment ever, you do not understand at all.

Your tone is very aggersive and very unwarrented you are forcing your view and mocking people.

Not trolling at all.

IF you have been playing Dragonflight since launch, all the requirements of that achievement is easily completable. Even the Campaign quests are hidden behind renowns much higher than 15.

You still didn’t answer why a potential removal of pathfinder bothers you so. How is the game worse if everyone just get basic flying in the dragon isles?

Demeaning?

I’m asking Blizzard to improve the experience for players who get motion sickness from playing the game by making better Motion sickness options. How is that demeaning?

What part of illness and also being told renown was not needed do you not understand? i am sorry but you are coming across as very rude and mocking.

Yet another flame bait post reported and muted.

Then ignore me then.

For the record I’m not being rude. But if having a different opinion to you is being rude, then please just feel free to hit that ignore button. I’m not interest in talking to you.

Stop accusing me of baiting. I’m sharing an opinion on the topic. Just because you don’t like or agree with it, doesn’t mean it’s trying to get a reaction from you.

You’ve not even tried to discuss the opinion. You have just claimed it as rude and demeaning, without trying to argue why it is.

Apologies I missed that.

Personally I like the Pathfinder achievements which the Content/expansion is still active/current. I firmly believe after the expansion is finished it should be removed, as the content is no longer relevant to the current game.

It requires you to complete the content to unlock flying. Flying allows you then to skip any challenge (i.e. defeating the mobs on the ground) to get to the goals. Because 1) you have already completed that content/challenges 2) you should be powerful enough for that not to be a challenge anymore.

Having flying available from day 1, will allow you to beat just skip the content and challenges and go straight to the goals.

Dragonriding is a new system which allows flying, but also adds a series of challenges to the game which Standard Flying will never be able to do. This means you can fly from the get go, but the flying is now part of the challenge. Later in the expansion when you have beaten the Challenges and Content, you are now able to unlock Normal Flying, which means you can just skip the challenges that Dragonriding brought along.

The requirements of the Pathfinder achievement is usually just the basic content in the game. So by playing the World Content, you unlock the ability to do normal flying allowing you to skip the content you have completed before.

The Dragon Isles are designed around flying, just like Sha’tari Skyguard, Ogri’la and Netherwing reps, just like Storm Peaks and Icecrown, just like Cataclysm zones. There’s a big difference between zones designed around ground movement and zones designed to be hell with just ground movement.

Correction.

Dragon Isles was designed around Dragon Riding.

Flying would take away all of the intended challenges you would need to overcome. This is why Flying wasn’t given straight away. Otherside it would make Dragon Isles a 2022-2024 expansion feel like Sha’tari Skyguard, Ogri’la reps from a 2007-2009 expansion.

There isn’t much of a chellenge in dragonriding, at least not outside the races. It mostly affects outliers like either people who straight up can’t use it or those that are just bad at it.

Also Dragonriding is so much better than static flying that you don’t need to lock the latter to make people use the former. Having twice the flying speed is enough incentive. Basic flying will basically exist as an accessibility option.

You’re just bent on constricting the game to your arbitrary idea of challenge even when it comes at the cost of others. You’re still basically suggesting that people who can’t dragonride should be required to grind rep for weeks on foot which the zones weren’t designed for.

Like which? You press 2 and you go up? You press 1 and you go faster? It is 10 times better than normal flying :joy:
