Pretty much what the title says. Just posting this here because I haven’t seen any coverage of it.

The thing that bugs me about it is that it is treated as a matter of convenience, a luxury, instead of a basic necessity for those in the playerbase who get sick like a dog or have neurological issues etc when they dragonride. It should have been implemented sooner for them. They are at a disadvantage anyway when it comes to speed while flying compared to dragonriding.
So I’m happy it’ll finally be coming, but personally I think they should have treated it differently.
So you need a Achievement to fly slower?
Hopefully using legal ways to do it

Normal flying should have been available from the start, but DF has it’s own way.
Time to remove these sh*tty “dragons” from my panel forever. One of the worst things that happened to WoW.
I love Dragonriding but due to chronic wrist pain I have to basically avoid DF overworld content like the plague and as a result I haven’t been able to do a lot of this. I did the Kalimdor Cup races and had to take a break from the game for a week… I find this to be a strange choice from Blizzard, my own personal grievances aside. I hope they go back on this or at least alter the achievement requirements.
The devs are more communicating then before tbh.

Finaly we will be able to fly in expansion which Has flight in its name. Yay .
Seems like crazy req to me. Higher rep i have is like 6 or 7 because there were no gear rewards there.
I guess i wont fly then . Dont really care will just ignore world content again as its likely not gonna give any rewards like wq in df so far

It’s too late. They might as well not even give it at this point.
‘Static’ flying should have been in DF from the start. And nothing is going to change my mind about that; there’s no downside to giving people a choice.
As I said in one of the other discussions, I find it a little ironic that we could start the expansion and dragon ride but to use our regular mounts we have to jump through some hoops and get an achievement.
People have been playing for months. Pathfinder is a terrible concept. I can live with map exploration and campaign, if the campaign wasn’t locked behind rep.
Can we get rid of the pathfinder concept and just let people fly please?
