ok this boss is pretty tough,he keeps on casting skills that you cant interrupt every 5 seconds and having a crap ton of hp makes him really hard step up from the tier 1 in torghast, anyone else having problems with him?
Sounds like a hard boss for speccs without selfheal. I’m not maining a warrior, but maybe you find more success with fury or even prot specc? Also try to interrrupt / fear / counterspell only the most devastating spells, not every single spell.
yeah im playing fury i get him to around 50% with burst on and everything, and then its just a matter of time before i die lol, perhaps il need some more defensive anima skills in there, instead of just chosing the damage ones… i didnt know you could fear those bosses at all
Yea I got to admit I really struggled with him. A bit of advice if you start again you probably won’t get that boss again. I did this and easily killed the next boss.
oh do they show up randomly?
Yes seems so, I failed the first time trying to take cromwell down so did it again and he wasn’t the boss next time.
i see, thanks alot il go give it a shot again
i tried for 5 hours or so, idk how many tries. Its always the same Boss for me and as a Rogue he’s not killable for me. Hope they fix that soon, i dont want to miss out on the ash.
tried that boss as hunter also, and nope didnt happen, I just ran out of heals and pet died and then me, or I just died from that one spell that he spams.
biggest problem was the healt on boss vs dmg the boss did mostly.
This boss seems to gain a buff increasing movement speed and damage by 10% each stack any way how to counter these or remove the stacks?
The way to deal with Torghast is to make " builds " through anima powers.
You have to be smart and make a reasonable build that would get you through, don’t depend on bursting or getting incomprehensible stuff.
Also, do note that sometimes you might not get good enough anima powers, so you can just as well call the run quits, after all there is no drawback to leaving and coming again for another try.
As a warrior, there are multiple ways to make yourself pretty insanely powerful.
You can
- Get a permanent die by the sword
- Save 1000 stacks of slam, slam the boss for a one shot
- Make your IP absorb very high health, get high HP numbers, and you are basically immune.
- Get permanent Avatar and recklessness
- Heavily invest in your Covenant ability ( which makes them super broken )
Also, it is worth noting that one should build their talents for the torghast run.
I couldn’t kill this fella on my druid either.
I didn’t have the best powers or gear at the time but I got nuked hard. Felt overtuned compared to his compatriots.
I did get this one on my level 3 run and managed to kill it. There is one cast that needs to be interrupted, the comments on WoWhead pointed out which one. I cannot remember the name of it. This seems to be a common thing with these bosses - lots of casts but one that must be interrupted.
Level 3 is close to our limit with week one gear (which is not a bad thing imho) it will be face roll once the raid gear appears and the challenge (for me at least) was nice this week.
