Patterns within Patterns

It’s definitely slow, but I prefer it to the Korthia quest and, god forbid, the N’zoth assault weeklies from BfA. It’s LESS slow than that at the very least. Just as boring, but when I compared how long it used to take me to do Korthia/N’zoth, this one tends to wrap itself up faster as almost everything you do counts in some way.

I also find if you have a goal in mind it makes these stupid weeklies “feel” faster. For instance I’m a huge altoholic but I only do Patterns Within Patterns on my main as she’s closest to getting the Unity legendary from the Enlightened. After that I’ll honestly never touch it again.

And this is the very reason I cannot fathom why the dailies do not give any rep at all. Its dumb AF. If the dailies gave rep it would speed things up, but as some have pointed out there is very little creativity gone into ZM other than aesthetics. So they came up with the worst solution ever and made rep grinds on rares and 3 dailies + a weekly. And to make themselves feel good and pat each other on the backs for a job well done, they added 500 rep for WB kill.

What is worth ur time then?

just make the treasures give 3 % like in korthia and im happy

the reason is simple to me

korthia was 10 times more condensed - thats why even without flyugn it was much more fu nto do.

ZM is complete garbage designed around you having to wste ton of time .

the answer for 99 % is m+ and raids.

not boring wasting of time which cannot give you any player power

I like that to

He exaggerated in a way that it could be done in 15 minutes in 1 day, but in reality, if you play the zone correctly for 15-20 minutes per day, max 25 on reset day, you will actually complete the weekly in 3 days, max 4 depending what you find along the way and what you skip.

This week, I actually completed the quest on 10 characters (I was testing if it’s a viable gold making method due to Progenitor essentia - it’s not btw because the drop chance is too low), and I actually spent 15-20, max 25 minutes per character, and I finished the Patterns within patterns on 7 characters on friday, and the last 3 I just finished on saturday. The requirement is to ofcourse have flying and have some knowledge of the zone, rest is just playing with your head and not making decision to waste your time. Here’s a brief guide:

Wednesday: Kill world boss (takes 5 minutes), complete the 3 WQs and 3 dailies. Wednesday will most likely take 20-25 minutes due to world boss. On reset days, ZM is packed atleast on my realm, so if any rares spawn in the way, kill them for easy %. But only the ones in your way, and only if they are up, don’t wait for them or don’t search for groups. It’s not needed. Also always use the 9 energy on the puzzle WQ, don’t spend time on it. This means you will leave wednesday with 20% + 15% + 15% + 10% if you manage to kill 2 rares. This puts you at 60% already, after just 1 day. Also, don’t collect treasures, and skip the quests you find annoying. It’s not the end of life if you prolong the quest by 1 day. The annoying one or the most time consuming WQ for me is the goop one, I always skip it, and for the dailies, the scanning elementals is quite tedious (although I usually do this 1), the relic searching is a skip candidate because it takes 10 minutes alone, and the one where you charge the progenitor essence takes too long because each mob gives you a 3% progress, meaning you have to kill 35 mobs. The time spent for this, you can easily find and kill 2 or even 3 rares, and get 12-15% progress instead of just 5% for the daily.

Thursday - 3 WQs + 3 dailies or combination of wqs / dailies and rares, depending which quests are up. On thursday, this means you will have roughly 15% + 15% or 10% + 10% + 15/20%, which would be 30% for low effort, or 35/40 % for high effort. This means, that you will be almost maxed out, or you will be very close to being maxed out.

Friday - Rinse and repeat. If you won’t be done on friday, or if you will be very unlucky with rares, just finish off on saturday, it’s not the end of the world.
