With the idea of increased game time purchase of 12 months I was thinking, how about adding a feature to pause your subscription, that way, iof you go on vacation, or take a lengthy timeout, the player does not waste game time, it should be somewhat of an easy way of putting this in for Blizzard.
see that would benefit you the player and we don’t do that here if its not benefiting the ceo or the share holders it’s not a good idea
although sometimes doing something good for the playerbase is good for business.
i think it is probably in the small print somewhere to say they are not liable for that kind of thing and do not have to give refunds.
did anyone ever read the small print?
EDIT: would be a good thing to have… but i heavily doubt it would happen… people would abuse it too much.
would need to be a time limit on it… no less than 1 week… but if you pause the time isnt allowed to be manually changed… except to increase the time… and during the pause window the game is frozen and players can no longer log in …to stop people cheating the system.
gotta take the good with the bad eh?
true but could be limited to X amount of times per year
once or twice a year
doesnt really matter really… a company like this one will always find a way to make it work against the players interest. and into their own interest…
im pretty sure their interest would not be locking potentially hundreds of players out the game each week and losing revenue in the process.
i imagine a pause button would result in a heavy increase of the cost of subscription.
couldnt u just pause the sub everyday til u log on?
for some players, 1 year sub could last 5 years xD I think the abuse of the system may kill the game
even with limitation, this would be crazy for blizz to implement…
opening cans of worms, generally dont work out well and the following demands will put the game on the edge of a knife realistically.
WoW is So realistically cheap, imho they shouldnt rly make it any cheaper.
well I would say a year worth of gametime is “cheap”, if purchased I would think it would been awesome to see where the player could put pause on the game time.
pause meaning as of the moment you press that “button” it means until you press it again you can’t play or anything, everything is placed on pause.
if Blizzard can make sure your game ends when gametime ends then it would be same with a button, the moment its pressed all in game things ends, until its pressed again.
That way, if the player goes on vacation and can’t play wow then he/she could put account on pause and resume the game when back, having lost no days.
Maybe so, but it will damage the company. Therefore damage the games budget which would lead to less content.
So not rly no.
There is no such thing as a free win.
We don’t make feature’s that’ll help the players save money.
They need to spend more money, not less!
You are asking corporate pigs to do something that benefits others. Never happen.
Wont happen simply because reasons .
But what they totaly should do is, decrease the price o year sub. Yes, u are geting more rewards than 6mo sub, and u have it cheaper than 1mo sub, but it should be at least 1-2€per month saved compared to 6months .
This would not benefit them at all. You’re responsible of what you spend your money on and if you think you’ll be playing for 12 months and buy the 12 months sub then that’s on you.
wow is not worth 10e a month lucky i pay it with in game gold for a token
The whole idea behind 12 months recurring subscription is to keep you in game and playing. What’s point of 12 months sub if players can pause it any time. I think it’s dirty business to gatekeep mounts behind 12 months gametime but still this is what it is, you can still get them for 25 euros and get 6 months sub (which is same price as 12)
How much time you spend farming 300k+ tho.
Sensible request, although it’s priced with this in mind.
I’m sure no one is expected to play every day during a 30 day sub, for a start.
Then, 6 months is only 5 times the price of a single month.
Either it’s cheaper or you just have four weeks of flexibility that you can skip.
That said, things may come up, especially during 12 months, which warrant a pause. Telco usually requests a 12 month loyalty period, albeit cancellable at a cost. Anyone can have a medical / family issue, or some happy event, which requires attention.
Rewards aside it’s just 2x6 anyway, and Blizzard gets the money early so they can invest it. Therefore now it’s about 2-10% more expensive than in 6 months. Other risks include changing the price, changing the content or not delivering enough.
I managed to buy a year of Heroes boost days before some shutdown announcement, also getting to uninstall for half a year about in the middle. I was pretty sure…
Don’t overcommit.
You can, by the way, request time refund, if you don’t log in for an extended period of time.
well i log in for a 1 hr letting TSM price flip all profible sales in AH then log off and come back next day and do the same …
Does not seem like a good business plan. No company does this.
If you have for example gym membership, you also cannot pause it because you are on holiday or sick or something. Well you can, but it is an individual agreement between you and the provider, not something standard.
I don’t understand why a pause button would ever make sense.
If I buy a 30 day sub now, I pay for access until the 7th of December, as that’s 30 days, how I spend that time is irrelevant.
This is like asking for a payment holiday on your rent because you left the house for a few days.
