Pay to win is rampant

You can never truly know which players are good or bad that’s just the nature of PUGs.
If you want to minimize issues, the best strategy is to be ready when Season 2 starts. Push keys consistently throughout the first day and week to separate yourself from the very bad players.
These players typically won’t push anything higher than a +2 early in the season maybe not even +2.
Your goal should be to complete at least a +10 key on Day 1 or during Week 1. Once you achieve that, you’ll be in a much better position moving forward.

The whole PUG scene is built on the premise that the sooner you get to higher keys, the better your seasonal experience will be. This is because players doing +10 keys in Week 1 or 2 are generally good players.
If you want to avoid bad players, you need to climb to higher keys very early in the season.

Doubt that many players can achieve that. They prob tune it that way, maybe if you overtime it sure, but timed very low chance (except for the top 0.00001% maybe).

Season 2 isn’t going to have the same experience when it comes to +10 keys. I think Blizzard has learned their lesson and will tune it better this time.
They always go from one extreme to another, so by that logic, I assume Blizzard will swing to the other extreme in Season 2 and make +10 much easier to obtain.

Sorry I don’t understand the question? How many hours does it take me to do what? Not spend gold?

Gear, Power, Faster progression, Achivements

The things prople usually consider P2W.

Can earn this without paying anything in this game.

People saying ‘‘but not everyone can lead a raid group, what about anxiety?!’’

My ten year old nephew could lead a raid group. It requires zero charisma, initiative or confidence, you just type in chat ‘‘does everyone know tactics’’ and thats it

That’s why i added “Faster progression” to that list.

These days people call it P2W even if it’s not a paywall to access content and power & if you don’t pay you don’t get it,

If it makes someone get something faster than you would get it by organically playing the game then people call that P2W as well.

Also… i am just explaining the terms so you can understand them better, I do not agree with all these P2W terms, Just writing it down for you to better understand what people mean when they say P2W

Its pretty much the new buzzword/strategy.

People will never admit that they dont want to stuff because they “dont wanna”.
So its the usual

“I cant do stuff X because I got condition A”.

Being anxious to run a raid is not really a condition. It has a meaning in it’s own right.

Many people don’t want to be in charge of a PuG, myself included. The lead is the one that gets the most flack from other players, you are expected to ‘lead’, not everyone knows every roles tactics and will often only know their own. Nor do they want to stick marks down.

Others are perfectly happy to be bossy, lead, take charge etc. Nothing wrong with not wanting to.

That’s pay to unlock faster, not pay to win.

That’s like saying buy levels in a battle pass is pay to win.

Well, that’s what people use the word P2W for these days from what i’ve seen

Just things that give you faster power and advantage compared to playing normally.

Like for example, all the MMORPGs that people use the P2W term for like Throne & liberty, Lost ark, Black desert, Blade & soul and a lot more.

None of those would count as “P2W” if we go by your definition, Because it’s always about buying your way to better gear faster than those who play “Normally”

How about they ban gold buyers? They did in SOD, for some time players were scared to buy gold.

Its impossible to get proper player opinions here, cos gold sellers and whales are spamming topics like these.

Ptoper players don’t even know the forums exist.

Less than 10% of the total pop visit the forums.

That would be great but SoD is a lot smaller than retail and was a lot more managable, plus they got rid of most of the customer support staff, so probably a nigh impossible task on retail.

Ok, I’m a “proper” player, I have never bought or sold gold. My main is 4/8 M and 3k Rio, all of this I did just by playing the game, WoW is not P2W.

Arguably it is pay 2 win.
Created problem by blizzard snd sell solution/ tokens, took away one of the main core gaming-drive / gold. Everything lost value - achievements, ratings in PvP, mount value, item value ect. I personally just dont care about anything in retail. I level up sitting in capital city and just hit Q button to get over leveling chore and after hit PvP Q button.
There is a reason why HC is so popular. Almost everything has value.
But thats could be me, and thats my peasants opinion.

Yeah as billion profit company cant hire few lowish paid GMs to police game. Brainwashing at its finest.
