This game has become a pay to win game.
The one who have the most gold can do anything in the game.
But we random players never have the chance to play this game normal as everything is so d… expensive.

Show me where i can get higher gear than 190 ilvl by spending real money that is not accessable with gold
Thats not pay to win
Wdym with random players …?
We know, we have known ever since the wow token was introduced.
Boosts… when the raids come. I mean, yeh, you can save up for boosts normally… but you know everyone is tokening those boosts.
Just let those people waste their money and golds. Just play the game for yourself how you want to, I personally dont see why people get frustrated by this. Its not that I approve it become a market, but still.
The game has been p2w ever since the wow token was introduced.
U cant have the wow token + boosting be allowed at the same time and have the game not be p2w.
Exactly, WoW is one of the most P2W games ever and anyone that doesn’t see that is just kidding themselves.
The wow token just took the revenue from gold traders into Blizzards pocket. It never made the game more pay to win at all. You could buy max gold via gold farmers before wow token.
You have no clue what you’re talking about. Play runescape then you know what p2w is. You can bypass every single one of the games content by buying ‘keys’ and gaining ungodly amounts of xp by doing nothing more than standing at a bank.
Ok.

Define “win”? I play this game to take part in group content with my guild, have a banter on discord, and waste a few hours in the evening. I didn’t need to pay anything
The sooner we stop thinking of boosting as “normal”, the better we’ll all be, imo. It’s not normal, it’s a sign that people have forgotten that WoW is supposed to be a multiplayer, social game. If people are regularly buying tokens to get their weekly raid, they’re really missing out on what WoW is about, and that’s just sad
I don’t understand this logic at all, people have been buying boosts since the game came out but because it’s gold without risk from Blizzard direct or people just farm the gold, suddenly it’s pay to win.
I personally don’t care what people call it, you can’t buy a full set of mythic gear from the Blizzard shop, so to me it will never be pay 2 win. You can get other players to boost you through content with no guarantee of drops apart from mounts if they are a set number from a specific boss.
Hmmm…I choose option “play to play”.
So can a person without gold but they will have to play the game. If you’re lazy and rich you’ll have shortcuts. That’s also how real life works. But I struggle to see how you win in WoW? Collect mythic mounts? Mythic gear? Most pets? What is winning?
Pay to win means get the best gear and stuff and always have the best gear and be first with everything new in the expansion.
Exactly this. I have no idea what “win” is in this game. Maybe… world first raid?
How do you win in World of Warcraft
Have you won when you have full HC gear?
Have you won when you have full mythic gear?
Have you won when you can join a PUG hc run?
Or when you can pug your weekly 15?
How about when you can join a CE guild?
How do you define winning in world of warcraft?
I guess i didnt pay enough to get my char shown as lvl 60 in the forums?
(for real, why is my char shown as 50)

Apparently you have to relog on forums so that it updates your avatar ^^
All I see here are people twisting definitions and making excuses in defense of the game they love.
Look, it’s P2W. You can drop a ton of cash on the game and get everything through boosting. Doesn’t matter if the loot from boosting isn’t set, you can just boost again until you get what you want… like a loot box.
Just because you accept the P2W element because you still enjoy the game doesn’t mean it’s not P2W.
Then it doesn’t work.
If you’re thinking about boosting; someone has to get to the state where they’re able to take a deadweight player along in their group.
Boosted players don’t get to be first, and they’re usually lagging behind people in regular dungeon/raid guilds who’re just doing the content as intended.
If you’re thinking about legendaries - your first tier 1 should be affordable. Just playing SL normally, I made a profit of about 40k since launch, which is roughly the cost of the items on most servers.
