Pc building experts - i need help

Hi, i have been searching the web far and wide and read all my manuals, and I can’t for the life of me figure this out, can someone help me?

I have bought a new m.2 SSD and I wanna add it to my pc, as a secondary drive. My current specs are as following:
Ryzen 5 7600x
Asus TUF B650 plus wifi
Asus TUF RTX 4070
16GB DDR5 5600mhz
Samsung evo 970 500gb m.2 SSD
3tb SATA HDD

I currently run my operating system and a few games off the SSD while i use the HDD for other games and storage
I want to add a second m.2 just for games, as most new games require a SSD
My question is, do I have enough PCIE lanes for a second m.2?

I dont need a big technical explanation, i just need a clear answer, if i install the second m.2, will it work, or will i criple my system?

It will work just fine.
Well unless you get a PCIE 5, that could slow down your GPU in the first slot.
Get a Gen 4, or even a Gen 3 would be enough for games.

The new m.2 is a 4.0, thanks for the reply.

Update: I installed the SSD and everything is working perfectly.
