Pc gaming rig build suggestion needed

So i am in the middle of making my gaming rig for next year for playing wow and overwatch on it .
I was thinking more on the lines of core i5 12400 f or 13400 f along with nvidia 3060 or 3050 . What do you guys think ? I am looking to hit 1080p with 100 fps or 120 fps if possible .although i am also okay with 60 fps if that doesnot ruin my experience playing wow :ok_hand: .wdy guys suggests ? I also heard that amd card is more suitable for playing wow cuz of amd support for super sampling or something ?
I dont have active subscription for wow atm so i hope i have put my thread in right section .

The RTX3060 is a much better bet than the 3050. You don’t mention the resolution of the monitor you’re looking to drive with the card.

I have a 3060 and can run at 2560 x 1080 with most of the settings in WOW cranked up. I don’t bother with ray tracing because it’s not particularly noteworthy in WOW. I also limit my frame rate to 60.

Processor is an i7-8700 and I run with 16Gb RAM and a decent (Western Digital) 1TB SSD. I don’t feel any particular hankering to upgrade anything.

There’s far more to the ‘gaming rig’ than the processor and GPU, although those are important components of course.

I can’t help much with Overwatch as I don’t play it.

Monitor resolution is 1920*1080 .so 1080p and screen size is 24 inch . I also dont care that much about ray tracing .

In this case I think your outlined spec is fine for WOW. However, I would look at stretching to an i7 processor (or AMD equivalent if you’re Team Red) because this is recommended for Overwatch 2. I’d also go with the 3060 as mentioned because it is a noticeably better card than the 3050.

Make sure you have an SSD in the machine - I’m sure you will but it can’t be stressed enough. I’d suggest 1Tb is the capacity to aim for now given current prices. I have a WD drive and have found their offerings solid, but there are plenty of others to choose from out there. I’d also go for 16Gb RAM simply because 8Gb just feels ‘creaky’ these days.

Hope this all helps !

You can see specs for Overwatch here:

And for Dragonflight here:

Thx .i am in two minds regarding ow2 .i have been playing it on my xbox but not much has changed as i was expecting it to be .so most probably i will be sticking with wow dragonflight .i just hope the new expansion is good enough . I am watching it with optimism .

A i7 atm might be out of my budget atm . As i have asked for the prices in my country .i could check amd processor though . But if i buy amd processor then i might be better off buying it with amd gpu.
