Getting a new computer soon and I had this one in mind:

CPU and Memory:

  • Intel Core i5 -9400 processor.
  • Hex core processor.
  • Processor speed 2.9GHz with a burst speed of 4.1GHz.
  • 16GB RAM DDR4.

Hard drive:

  • 480GB SSD storage.

Graphics:

  • NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super with 6GB memory GDDR4.

So my question is, will this perform well enough for raiding, I understand that the CPU can be the bottleneck but I’m on a bit of a budget.

Any advice would be welcome. Thank you in advance.

It should perform quite well, alternatively you could get a Ryzen 3600.
16GB of RAM is good, but it needs to be 3200Mhz CL16 or better (2x8 sticks).
480GB SSD is okish if you don’t need many games on your SSD at the same time.
A 1660 Super is fine for 1080P.
