💰 PC Price To Run Shadowlands Smoothly?

How much roughly do you think a decent enough custom-built (by the company) computer would cost to run Shadowlands smoothly? not at Ultra settings of course.

Do you have “nerd” friend to built pc for you ? Many branded pc will have last gen parts just because company wants to get rid off parts

Here is my prediction: Old PC will run it fine on medium-low settings

I don’t, but you have a point. I just don’t think I’ll go for new gen or anything too expensive

I built mine using this site - they were good and they will give you advice if you chat to them about how much you want to spend, and info about the game/s you want to play.

Between 800 and 1200€ Will do you very well.
Depending at what resolution you want.

Lowest price at 1080p: Probably around 600€. WoW doesn’t need that much, Shadowlands not much different.

Depending on what you have, you might still get the same performance.

Well i play BFA smoothly with good ol 2500k @ 4.4 ghz and gtx 960 (custom setting not lowest )
So ,i would say 1k for branded pc without peripherals will be more than enough for high settings

My recommendation for high settings 120 FPS

CPU: i7 9700K 3.6Ghz
GPU: GeForce RTX 2070 Super
RAM: 16gb
SSD: 250gb

Total price (roughly) 1500 euro

Why? 3000 series will hit store any moment.

Because the 2070 has really amazing price to performance ratio.

… and the OP specifically asked for something that doesn’t need to push Ultra settings.

No point to build PC untill 30XX budget series comes out or if u have another +/- not garbage videocard to be replaced by 30XX in future.

overkill for wow

super overkill for wow

get a bigger SSD

Any computer with a dedicated GPU and a large-enough SSD in the price range 600-800 eur (depending on country) will do on high settings with enough FPS.

There’s absolutely no point in spending 1.5k if the primary use of the computer is WoW

Not really. It can be a quad core for wow-only but whatever it is it has to have a high frequency high IPC core.

2070S had the best value from Turing lineup. And for high resolution WoW or other games it will be handy. Right now 2070S should loose a lot of value potentially making it more appealing for a budget build.

Yeah, second hand one but OP wants premade branded pc.

If you cant run this outdated game WoW, then you have to leave gaming  I can play WoW on my Tamagotchi.

Spoke with my old boss just after the date announcement actually.
We worked out rough specs for what I suggested he call “RAID ready Shadowlands PCs” lol.

We changed out the suggested recommended gfx card though, he thought it wasn’t good enough.

After working out the basics and including building cost, extra DVD drive to backup/play movies ect…
Came close to ÂŁ1000

But if you are like me, don’t do raids, dungeons, m+ or arena/PvP you can probably ether grab a cheap built-in graphics prebuild system (just make sure it says pci-e slot for graphics upgrades included) and grab an extra card… Or manage between £600 to £800.
If you are in the UK.

That’s just my personal opinion though.
I told him to put a sign up with this in the window with “enquire within for more info”
And offer BFA preinstalled (which can be done afaik since you don’t have to log in just to install, just register the store for a free trial account if need be lol) so all that needs to be done after purchase is log in, buy/register SL key and install shadowlands content areas

It really depends. If you want a 100% smooth experience and ultra settings with raytraced shadows, get a pc with the new RTX 30 series graphic cards and at least a ryzen 9 cpu and a gen4 ssd like the corsair mp600 nvme ssd. All in all It will cost around 2000€ euros in my country but will set you up for the next 10 years. Of course you could build a cheaper one but honestly i wouldn’t. PCs are an investment.
