Itās decent. Will deffo play wow max settings comfortably. Itās nothing special though, donāt expect max setting on new games like battlefield etx. Depends what youāre planning on playing.
I have about the sameāish setup. Same mobo+CPU clocked @4.7+970 Strix and 16gb DDR4 @3000.
The one thing that holds me back on the newer games is the GPU⦠but with a bit of graphics tweaking here and there that set-up will do 1080p at 60fps fine.
WoW is as good as maxed out with the better performance in 8.1
Push/Pull set-up on the radiator. As in 3 on each side of it.
Edit: I also donāt get why people are so hung up about the 24gb of ram. Most important thing Iād be asking with this build is (since it is a 2nd hand pre-built): how much are they asking for it?
Specs wise it would fit with most people but that all depends on the pricing.
Again this is a decent low end pc and if its super cheap then its a good deal. Like less than Ā£450. For example if you could get it for Ā£200 (assuming it works and that itās not a scam) then you should 100% get it even if just a second or spare pc etc.
donāt know why it has 24gb ram but still not bad, make its sound like its missing a piece in one port like 8gb for max 32gb / 4 etc.
the cpu is kind of meh but itāll run wow anyway. would def prefer upgrading to an i7+ but again, not awful.
6 god damn fans AND liquid cooling??? This is kind of bizzare tbh. Makes me slightly worried but not entirely.
the 970 is pretty decent imo, power supply is fine, ssd and hdd are ok too
Again tell us the price or roughly anyway, if itās like Ā£1000, then no way but if super cheap and not broken then, you know.
Well because tri ram slots donāt really exist and 2 12 gb ram sticks are maybe existing? Iāve never seen 'em for sale anywhere before or use before, which mean you would assume means he has 4 ram slots and 3 in use for whatever reason.
Either one is broken, the port or the stick or ⦠i donāt know. Just a possible redflag, maybe could be a potential problem and the reason for a lowered pc cost idk man, be skeptical when it comes to money and goods.
It does though. While itās not a common set-up for a gaming pc and one wouldnāt notice it for most cases it is still out there. It could also be the case of running 16+8 without directly thinking one slot is broken. Seen enough people double capacity and keeping the other stick in.
Though in all honesty, I question your knowledge when you also: call that CPU āmehā, havenāt heard of 6 fans on a radiator and especially: calling it a low end PC.
Reasonable midrange, but everything is 3-4 years old. Assuming youāre buying 2nd hand?
Also assuming the 24gb memory is 2x4 and 2x8, rather than 3x8. If 3x8, run away because the previous owner doesnāt know what theyāre doing.
WoW and most games will be happy up to 2560x1440 resolutions. You wonāt have a problem upgrading the GPU, you will find that you canāt get anything above a 4-core 8-thread CPU into that motherboard. Whether that affects you depends on what games you play.
