[PCU] Draenei RP - Order of Oronaar 😇

Fair enough  Then I misunderstood who was behind the entire initiative.

Fighting Illidari? What’s this whole about?

It’s good you asked cause others might have been confused too! Now everyone can know

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Karabor, Outland and Xe’ra?
No?

I thought not. It’s not a story the Illidari would tell you.

Tragedy of Karabor: “Shortly after the formation of the Horde, Gul’dan ordered the temple conquered.”
“When Illidan the Betrayer fled to Outland after the Third War, he ousted the Temple’s ruler - the pit lord Magtheridon - and claimed his throne as the lord of the blasted world.”
Outland: I can give this one to you. Illidan let his allies do their thing, just for the purpose that they can assist him against the Legion.
Xe’ra: Looks like you’re going against the High Exarch’s orders. If this stayed as an issue to him, he would have killed (or was killed by) Illidan with his Lightforged forces.

I won’t trash on the guild for doing this, as I wasn’t present during it. You got your reasons. (Just weird for Alliance to fight Alliance, unless the Illidari were Felsworn, making them no longer Illidari)

Isn’t a stricly Alliance organisation.

Correct, but almightly gob blizzard treat Nelf and Belf DHs the same as DKs, trying to reintroduce themselves back into society in their respective faction.

I’d love to hear about the event and what occured, just feeling saying Illidari brought me a question mark, as opposed to using Demon Hunter would’ve been (or felsworn).

Don’t want to fall into “void and fel bad. light good.”

I’ll refute this and stop filling OoO’s guild thread, but this hasn’t been true for DKs since Legion, where all the EB DKs left their respective factions to become proper part of the Ebon Blade again.

He declared himself Lord of Outland.

Do you really think that makes any Draenei happy? To rename their holy temple to the “Black Temple”, to bolster a demonic army there, etc. Remember that the Aldor & Scryers both fought Illidan’s forces on Outland. If you think that Draenei/Broken really like the Illidari, I’d suggest watching the Black Temple trailer again. Or just quest through Hellfire Peninsula/run through The Underbog where you can find several Broken slaves.

Not even in Legion does Akama sympathise with Illidan.

Illidan became a dictator on Outland. “Their things” were enslaving the world’s denizens and pumping the Zangar Sea dry. Only the most vicious Broken pledged allegiance to him (the Ashtongue Tribe), the rest were enslaved. He had Fel Orcs under his command. He bound Akama’s soul to the Temple. I really don’t think that’s well-received.

The Illidari are a neutral order comprised of Demon Hunters, Naga, and (enslaved) demons alike. Just like the Death Knights, they are not well-received among their elven peers, but reviled for their demonic transformations and practises.

That’s your headcanon, officially he did not state anywhere that “attacking Illidari is a crime”.

I think you misunderstand cooperation with companionship/friendship. Just because Turalyon & the Army of the Light fought side by side with the Illidari on Argus very briefly, that doesn’t mean they take a liking to them. They did what they had to do, else they would have all died together.

What can I say except “find out IC”.

Thank you for the detailed response. I won’t bicker about lore, as there is so much that there is no reason for me to do so, especially since I’m learning -still- everyday.

I don’t think Cedil will like to talk to OoO knowing “They attacked Illidari on Outland” without other context.

But void and fel are bad. And the Light is the greatest thing in the universe and we must bow down and do its will!

It sounds interesting ! Well… except the RP PvP part… Not a huge fan of that.

How often are such events hosted compared to NPC ones, for example.

We roleplay a mix of both RP-PvP/PvE. I cannot really give you a clear pattern, since it majorly depends on the theme of the event.

However, I can tell you that whenever we interact with the opposite faction (especially Sylvanas loyalists), it mostly results in restricted(!) RP-PvP, depending on the circumstances. For example, we roleplayed with the Highblood Myrmidons the other day, and the event was a mix of both RP-PvE elements and RP-PvP!

We, however, host a fair amount of pure RP-PvE related events when it comes to guild-intern stuff. The guild is hosting an ongoing Void-themed event chain on the Azuremyst + Bloodmyst Isles right now. The Order also ventures out into the world to purify corruptions or aid their allies. Or we do something entirely spiritual! The themes are endless, really.

“Hello, friend! How nice to meet you here! Baluur wishes you most welcome to join among the… eh… brethren here, in support of the Draenei way of life in spreading good across Azeroth. It is a very good home, if a bit… eheh… high on the ‘vindicator’ count. Not that he complains! …but some variety would always do good!”

Here’ from a recently returned players perspective, who mains their Draenei and sought a Draenei accepting RP and RP-PvP guild.

While there is only so much that you can do while RP-PvP’ing as a low level character, the Order of Oronaar has been nice and accomodating. Plate-wearing characters are dominant, as is crystal weapons and armor as befit to Draenei. The guild does its best in portraying the Draenei as the space-squids as they are and roleplay from the perspective of their culture. Perhaps a little Light-zealous, but not over-the-top.

Further updates shall follow as things progress and roleplaying is had. Until then, watch this space.

Very well ! Once I figure out what… Or more importantly how, my TRP is going to be constructed I’d be glad to join, but I’ve also never Rped a Draenei before, so there’s that.
