Nothing strikes fear in the Horde like the sight of Dirge of Teldrassil under a nameplate.
and a scary worgen death knight with that name plate shivers in fear
My character has been traveling with the Dirge for a while now, and Iāve been having a blast. These folks come off as super approachable and theyāre skilled at making the best out of dynamics between different chars and odd circumstances to create more inclusive RP for everyone.
If your character prefers action over lame excuses to uphold interests of night elves and worgen, you should let them drag you in for some events or casual. Even my broody nelf approves that youāll never have a dull moment!
Contrary to popular belief the Dirge is still active daily.
I highly recommend this group for Night elf and Worgen players. I remember joining them back when I was a Night elf main. It was a blast.
Iām glad to see they are still active.
May Teldrassil and Gilneas live on
I wonder when these guys will will jump at us from the trees againā¦
I am happy to say that I have yet to witness a war crime in Eluneās name.
I put a year of my life into this guild.
I donāt regret it for a second.
Dirge of Smelldrassil
You might have a cool guild.
But this.
This is the coolest guild.
you should join it.
At long last Dionysur determined to put ink to parchment. He began as one often does from the top! The beginning entry by Yier, the intermediate mentions by Ivan and the stray notations by other Dirge membersā¦ Maybe, just maybe, this would one day be the only record that the Dirge even existed. It made sense, anger and vengeance would satisfy anyone but only for a time. One day theyād all be old, grey or dead! With that brief instance of reflection set aside heād dab his quill in the inkpot and begin writing:
"Sing in me, Muse, the tale of the Dirge.
"There was Yier Shatterstring, fearless huntress with a mind like water! Dionysur Moonset, calculate in his guiles. Wiley Relysia, swiftest of fighters... there was also Vylirion, a terror of the field! Rampaging amongst foes, that man was like an army.
We are what we overcome but what we overcome weighs on us, little by little. I have seen beyond the farthest stars and the words I speak have already been uttered. We gracious few, who fight the good fight have rendered a great many service to the peoples of Surwich in their hour of need where those of Stormwind would not.
Yet not without consequence. The Harbinger holds a great many fears over how far the Fels corruption has spread, the dynamic between Neophyte Astralight as well as Vylirion and Watcher Fargrove has shown itself to be most delirious to behold. We've fixed roofs, fought naga and tackled nightmarish beasts yet such things are somehow trifling compared to the notion of internal strife.
Not all is ill however. The miasma, a magicbound territory which subjugates our surroundings abates for now, giving a chance to eat and make merry. A relic, which was once thought lost and stolen, has been returned to us that we might find the enemy. Indeed in but a weeks time we may bid this town farewell.*
Let us give thanks to Elune for our fortunes."
It is with great pleasure I write to you of the Dirge and its travels! Weāve just completed out second zone on our continent wide tour of the Eastern Kingdoms with the Blasted Lands and now the Swamps of Sorrow under our belt! With a healthy hatred of mosquitoes and one dead member weāre well on our way to the next place!
And remember! Say hello if you see us and weāll say howdy back!
"Sing in me, Muse, the tale of the Dirge.
"Elfs and Worgen I sign, who driven by fate across the worlds faced the banks of the Harborage. Racked with hardships and saddled by woes. When the moon shone down upon the Harbingers face that righteous sentence was written in the sky. Her truth is marching on and she with it.
There was Delandris Lunastree, the fiery heart of her company, that woman was like a mad bull, rampaging wildly into the fray. Vhaala Vossler, as able a hand as any and a balm to the soul and Thelxion Midnightrunner, a new but untrained soul.
When last we recounted upon their tales this splendid host did make merry therein the town of Surwich, driven in their quest to see the land healed, and healed it was. Through blood and tears, the loss of Torlinar Moonset, was victory obtained and though the sense of victory was fleeting it is in this we know one of life's greatest wisdoms, to be close to victory is to invite the greatest of woes.
Yea, we wept my kith and kin when it came time to mourn him. As we departed the Blasted Lands now so too do we depart the Swamps of Sorrow for no apter a description could a land hold, we fought the Horde and we won. We fought cultists and did battle, now their shrines lay broken and their scriptures burn... but Relysia did not walk unscathed and now needs healing, least her soul does drift away.
Let us give thanks to Elune for our fortunes."
Another wonderful tale of the Dirges journey, stay tuned!
Even though they might have ruined our cover in the Stormwind Underground, thanks to teamwork and faith within the Light, our mission was a success, the Dirge has truly gained our trust there.
Dirge and Argents, working together? Well, against Scourge, sure!
Dirge venture into the Fjord to solve problematic Vrykul from trying ton conquer the Northrend.
Will they bring an end to that threat? Or those Vrykul will bring fire to everything and everyone?
One way to find out.
Looking for vengeance? Or renewal?
ā¦Oh, sorry, we are all out of renewal. Guess we need to go with the BETTER choice.
One of your Moon wells may or may not have been used to drown a Draenei in tonight.
At least it wasnāt another radioactive gnome.
These elves and worgen still keep vengeance alive. Always a great time, whenever our swords cross! We should do so again one day!
Not sure if the Dirge is still active as i left a long time ago when i race changed, but it is a lovely guild and i wish them all the best.
If you are a worgen or Night elf player, highly recommend this guild. You dont need to be directly from Teldrassil. I remember my characterās home was Ashenvale yet i still joined, because the horde attacking ashenvale kinda relates to Teldrassil in some ways.
i miss adventuring with them in strange vanilla/BC hidden places i would have never thought to explore had it not been their help. we went to this mountain in wetlands and it was amazing. My pet Purple Owl Luna and i really had fun in our roleplay.
