[PCU/H-RP] The Grom'kar Advance - Iron Will, Iron Blood, Iron Dawn

“Iron Will, Iron Blood, Iron Dawn.

Words that the Grom’kar, and the Iron Horde itself lived by. However, Hordes Old, Iron and True have also always lived by their own vaunted concepts of honour. We never got it right. Even the Iron Horde were blinded by the promise of conquest by forces beyond our realm and as a result, the legacy of the Grom’kar, the main military force of the Iron Horde, named after Grommash Hellscream himself was sullied in the process. We cannot, we will not accept this! In the name of the man who Grommash Hellscream became, what the Mag’har became, Commander Erak Blackscar seeks to reform a regiment of the Grom’kar and show the enemies of the Horde what it truly means to be an Orc! With our clans combined, fighting as one dangerous war machine once more, we are the Grom’kar Advance; stay out of our way, or be crushed beneath the wheels of progress. Members of each and every clan from both Draenor and what is now known as ‘Outland’ shall pull their weight in their own way, and we shall NEVER allow what happened to our worlds to happen EVER again!

Drano’shek Mag’har!”

Throm’ka!

The Grom’kar Advance, as you can see from the little IC piece up there, is a regiment that seeks to redeem the legacy of the Grom’kar from Alternate Draenor and in the process the Iron Horde and the Mag’har people themselves. The guild is essentially themed around creating a sort of military guild that harks back to the force we see in Warlords of Draenor with all of the Gronn, Ogron, Ogres, warbeasts, iron ships and war machines with attitudes that will remind you of the aggressive yet honourable nature of Garrosh Hellscream’s Horde before it all went wrong in Pandaria.

We are hoping to get this guild off the ground and dedicatedly run a selection of events each week whether they be training sessions, skirmishes against other groups and guilds or events which focus around capturing the essence of the Mag’har Orcs as they make their mark upon Azeroth, the Horde and the Draenei, they’re evil I tell you, EVIL! As a sister guild of the Bilgewater Battalion, the Grom’kar will closely work with the Battalion and share quite a few events.

So without further ado, here are a few points of interest:

Who do we accept?

The Grom’kar Advance are a group who seek to have another crack at the Grom’kar but this time include all of the clans that make up the Mag’har. Therefore we accept Mag’har Orcs of any clan, we will accept green Orcs on a very rare occasion but for the best experience of RPing those that are not ‘pure of blood’ as Garrosh once put it we highly recommend the Hand of Conquest! We also accept Ogres seen as we saw that they are still allied with the Mag’har even as they arrived on Azeroth and one or two Ogron as well (love you Glord)!

The Rules and Attendance

As a guild that is lead by the officer team of another PCU guild, the Grom’kar Advance follows the rules of the PCU found here:

Generally we are against using spatial channels (say, yell and emote) to write things OOC, trolling or disrupting other roleplay when we are not roleplaying ourselves and of course are strictly against ERP and will kick anyone who is caught doing it under our guild tag without hesitation.

In terms of attendance we operate on the Bilgewater Battalions two weeks of (RP) inactivity incurs a kick from the guild system with a letter sent and the opportunity to rejoin any time you wish.

Recruitment:

If you wish to be recruited into the Grom’kar, please refer to our guild finder post or get in touch with our commander, ‘Dreltok’ or myself on Scargra and Korrogg in game. We can also be found hanging out around Orgrimmar on days when we’re not out in the wilderness!

Lok’tar Ogar!

Looks cool. FOR THE MAG’HAR!

well, it’s about time

is there any form of uniform involved? :eyes:

Due to the Iron Horde/clans working together aesthetic we’re going for there aren’t any direct rules on uniform. Generally the more militant clans such as Blackrocks and maybe Warsong will want to wear the tabard and such but for people of clans like the Thunderlords or Shadowmoon we let the more tribal style mogs get away with going tabardless.

A bunch of Mag’har in heritage and blackrock plate is hella nice though. :eyes:

Now this is a based concept and one I hope to see succeed, good luck!

Tonight the Grom’kar are going on a hunt across the Barrens to try and find a rylak which escaped its handler (cough Scargra), we’ve had a fun few nights of RP so far as we prepare for the Cold Front campaign- enlist NOW!

After waging brutal war against the Alliance and losing our Shattered Hand, Mar’kosh to the fiendish and cowardly Draenei who slew him alongside the mercenaries they needed to hire to not die to our might; the Grom’kar are going to be in Warsong Hold as we recover from our battles in Dragonblight and prepare to aid our allies in pursuing the Cult of the Damned!

We will also be doing a bit of recruiting in Orgrimmar - so be there if you want to enlist before we get back to fighting everything that moves!
