People complaining about the recent War within trailer(s)

No it’s not. The problem is in your head I think.

But that is by the most outwardly racist comment in the thread so far, so bravo I guess. It’s the one comment i’m going to report.

its making non sens because … people born from same skin tone parent.

If there is no people before them with same and making them born, how they can exist in this place? in a specific skin tone continent during a medieval period?

understood?

can you manage your emotions and talk with me with your intellect? is that possible or not ?

you re diffaming me since beginning and insulting me. We are talking about fictionnal thing. Even the Witcher is pure fictionnal

No, I’m not a fan of the cinematic myself. You can find my criticisms here if you scroll up, I’m not gonna repeat myself, but the presence of a brown human is probably the last thing I’d complain about, which is kind of the point here. The cinematic is kinda of trash but the whole discussions here has devolved into “brown disabled person bad”, as if the cinematic would be better if Faerin was a white guy. No, it would be just as trash.

Also, the video you linked came out a year after MoP released… here you’re complaining that you don’t know the reason for a human’s brownness months before the release of the expansion.

Speaking of MoP, when you watched the cinematic trailer for it, did you know who the human was? Or the orc? Or the panda? Were you demanding their backstories right there and then or did it not matter because none of them were brown or missing a limb?

Fair point, did they even get to have names or just a random orc facing a random human, meeting a random panda? BUT there is a narrator, asking questions! And then answering it himself! You got all you need to know from that right?.. right?!? /s

You’re trying to use the logic of the real world, in a video game. A game wherein all races DEVOLVED from something before them.

Elves came from Trolls. Trolls ARE NOT WHITE.

Humans came from Iron Vrykul. Iron Vyrkul ARE NOT WHITE.

There’s NOTHING in the lore to say that a person of any race can’t be born different to the parent figures.

My criticism is that I don’t get the framing for the cinematic of The War Within.

I complain about that, because Blizzard have consistently shown in the past an ability to release more pre-expansion material than a cinematic without context.

I use the example of the animated shorts, but it could have been a short story or an audio drama or something else instead – which they’ve also done.

But getting nothing for a cinematic that requires something to be understandable is just not very good, in my opinion.

Do I care that she’s black? I don’t care if she sparkles. I just need to know what I’m looking at. And the more unique something looks the more I need an explanation to understand it. That’s pretty simple. This character has a lot of stuff going for her, so I have a lot of questions.

And I’m getting no answers. None.

I think that’s disappointing. Why show her to me in the first place then?!

I feel like in the context of Warcraft some things need to be explained and some things don’t. I don’t need an explanation of what the flaming ball of fire in the background – known as the sun – is all about. And I don’t need to know what humans are either. Or orcs. Some things are fair to presume as basic knowledge to fans of the game or fantasy in general.

And again, I think the MoP cinematic frames the story it wants to tell with the narration of Chen Stormstout. Why do we fight?
I don’t get anything from The War Within cinematic. And I think that’s lazy on Blizzard’s part.

Vrykul are all white

dark trolls > night elves > high elves

dark > lighter > lighter

that’s kind of funny because with your rude words you said to me you pretty sure that I m a white supremacist.

But reality is i m part of an often oppressed minority.

There is difference between reality and a game

But you need every single bit of info of this one human?

To say she is gorgeous is a very big stretch.
But well, taste is personal I suppose.

Iron Vyrkul are NOT WHITE. The very first of the Vyrkul race. They are all sorts of colours, based on IRL colours of metals.

Lol. The page for Dark trolls has the most light skinned colour Troll i’ve ever seen, immediately throwing your theory in the bin.

Put your victim card away, nobody believes it.

When she’s being highlighted I feel I need to have some kind of information, even if just a name or a cause or an origin. You know, something.

All I’m seeing is a knight putting on armor.

That’s it.

Like some others have said; if it isn’t because the World of Warcraft logo shows up at the end of the cinematic, it could be for anything.

It is.

And I meant what I said.
Scars and all.

i m talking about Vrykul not Iron Vrykul

I know you are, because you won’t accept logical arguments that don’t fit your agenda.

it is very dangerous to said rude words like that because I can counter argu you easily.

Are you really sure to maintain those words?

You haven’t really countered anything, because you refuse to engage on a level where you’re not acting biased

Yes. I don’t care who or what you are IRL, it doesn’t impact the argument.

Please explain why the Vrykul went from lots of different colours to just White.

He/she/they/them want to save the planet :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:
