People complaining about the recent War within trailer(s)

My comment was in reply to the question posed by the OP

Just pure waffle, you didn’t have a gatcha moment. Just made it look like you didn’t really understand the topic

Except i answered OP’s question as to why people might feel negative about it, by stating what negative aspects i personally see about the trailer (views others also have apparently looking at other posts).
Please do tell if i misenterpreted the OP, and instead of answers he just wanted to vent, just like you did, and you wanted to highfive eachother or something.

If trying to get your view on the matter is a supposed “gatcha moment” in your eyes, just for having some fun with your quote, this won’t get anywhere anyway :dracthyr_shrug:
If “people who think trailer bad = blizz haters”, without explaining why that is, is all you got to share, alright then. That’s that, understandable, have a nice evening.

But if you care to explain, I am curious though, as a so called “blizzard hater” that has some negative opinions about this trailer, as to what it is that makes me and others an overall blizzard hater for disliking it?
What about it is so undoubtedly good in your opinion, that it’s impossible to dislike it for any other reason than “hating on Blizzard”?

Not when you replied to me you didn’t? You did in your following posts yes, but not the first reply to me.

Where did I vent lol I simply stated that people enjoy hating on Blizzard - I thought it was extremely clear to people but i’ll post the link anyway.

Except my post wasn’t aimed at anyone but your comment was aimed directly at me for no specific reason.

This explains why you are making the comments you are.

Your words not mine, I didn’t call people Blizzard haters, I said some people have made it their hobby to hate Blizzard, two entirely different things.

I’d say it’s a bit more nuanced and complicated than blind hate. As it happens, a lot of people quite enjoyed the setting back in the day - and indeed, the game has never quite managed to reach the same population levels that it boasted back during its various ‘golden eras’.

What usually happens is that a setting will be deliberately changed piece by piece in a misguided effort to appeal to a new audience, who then spend much of their time sneering at anyway who still likes what the setting used to be and wishes to see more of.

It’s a tale as old as time. Parasites require a host in which to feed on after all and we’ve seen from games such as Forspoken, Concord and Flintlock the mythological ‘modern audience’ supposedly demanding what is being pushed to the forefront is just that - a myth. As such, it is forced into existing IP’s even when and where it doesn’t make much sense and with the bonus of anyone calling it out for what it is being accused of being various ‘isms’.

Despite those accusations no longer carrying the same gravity that they once did due to often being misused. Certainly, nobody is obligated to like or dislike any character in any game and the push to the contrary is cult-like and honestly quite creepy.

What’s wrong with people having their own opinions? I didn’t like the trailer, it didn’t feel like Warcraft to me, but others might like it, and that’s fine. Different people, different taste.

What I don’t like is calling any criticism of blizzard unfounded and people who express their opinion hate watchers or something. That’s just plain stupid.

I think when people talk about this doesn’t feel like wow
they do not mean it’s an ugly or bad cinematic.
it’s just when you compare that to your TBC expansion cinematic
it certainly doesn’t feel like world of warcraft
This game is not world of warcraft for a loong time now.
Since shadowlands release i would argue

For example that cinematic felt more like Diablo then world of warcraft

People dont like it because, again, its another woke stuff.

You should’ve seen US forums last weekend, they flagged everybody who hated those trailers. Sheeps gonna sheep.

It’s simpler than that.

People don’t hate the trailer or have reasons to, they simply hear a streamer/“content creator” saying this to fake a heated discussion for views and they start repeating it everywhere to not risk “being different”.

And becomes a snowball.

Same thing about the Log in screen.

I don’t think this one is woke (and I’m a fierce woke critic)
It’s a little shallow though.

Woke? now we put this term everywhere? This is bland video, could be any game, it doesnt give any hype, but woke? No.

Can you please explain what is woke about it?

Well it’s easy. People want a cinematic that hypes them. They want to board the hype train but there is no hype, there is no train, there is only a door to a mental institution.

It’s WARcraft. People wqnt WAR. Action. Simple as that.

I hoped for some action after the empzional trailer but then I got that. Not surprising but still. Give me war, give me the epicness they used to talk about so much.

I can but I won’t.

I don’t want to be banned. Free speech doesnt exist here.
