Why is there no punishment for this? Since the launch of Dragonflight, i’ve been having my keys depleted constantly due to people leaving my groups. This kind of unsportsmanlike behaviour should not be tolerated, especially on high keys. They are not only wasting our time and recourses but they’re wasting everyone’s time.
You have to introduce a system for this. This can’t go on. At this point it’s inevitable.
had a evoker healer with a fragile ego who left our +13 key at 50%
we still managed to +2 the key but the guy who left still got his rating and rewards for it lol
Same comment as always - I would say 3-5% people leave the keys for the sole reason of leaving, and the other 95-97% leave the keys, because they just won’t get completed, thus you just save your, and other 4 players’ time.
I personally left a Jade +12 yesterday aswell, after wiping on the 1st boss at 60%, with 2 CRs going out. It was no point of staying, as it would happen sooner or later anyways because the players sucked donkey balls. Do I deserve a penalty for that? In my eyes, no.
if people constantly leave your keys it means you got boosted to that key and dont belong there.
drop key by a few levels to your level and people will stop leaving instead hoping for a free boost.
m+ in DF is significanly harder then in SL. its time people accept that maybe much less people will get to KSM this tier. maybe your limit it +10 and thats where you belong for now and when unlimited vp ugrades will show you will have chance to push further.
dont overreach over your skill / gear level and people wont be leaving.
People easy leave from M+ cause there are TONS of them.
A lot of ppl came back to play and it’s really easy to leave a group and get another in minutes.
Yes, it is a problem of players grouping without making first clear what their expectations are for those in their group or the groups they join.
But Blizzard is also at fault for setting up a system that makes failure into a bigger setback for they key owner regardless of if it was their fault that the key got downgraded or not
not really. its players problem because they go into +12 or +14 expecting it to be a joke and it smashes them and grinds them into pieces
blizzard made an official post some time ago about how they want scaling to go much harder . +12 is like +14,5 from SL. +15 is like +17/18 last season.
yet people expect them to be a joke because its scaling now up to +20 so every timmy the baddie naturaly thinks that +20 is where he wants to be. while he doesnt have skills to do +10 without being boosted.
oh yes ofc they are. and you want to know why ? because timmy the baddie puts in his +2 key which get +3 then he puts his +5 key which get +2 then he puts his +7 which gets +2 and suddenly timmy the baddie is in +9 with 3 dungeons done and like 200 score and 365 itlv and then makes surprised pikachu face why other people cannot carry him anymore.
have you seen the amount of people with like 500-700 score making groups for like +10 and higher ? its scary and funny at the same time.
how can people who join those groups expect things to go well ?
thats why even you +5s fail nowadays. because they are hard. and to many people expect to be boosted.
That is the price you’ll pay for failing to form a sucessful group.
This is also a player problem. Overestimating themselves.
Years ago I had an idea to mostly solve it. Why should it only be the key of the groupformer to be at risk? Why not the rest of the group as well? A payment to initiate the start of the dungeon run. The leader uses his key to set the dungeon, others ‘pay’ with their keys to start the timer. Similar to the old Greater Rift system in Diablo 3, where people had to have atleast a keystone of a certain difficulty level to join,
I still feel bad for the keys of others even if it is partly their fault.
There is no surefire way to always know exactly what kind of player the other one is.
This is part of the reason that I feel better if the key is my own.
no! because there is an option for game name: “complete dungeon” or something like that!
something like +15 could mean it’s a speedrun. and if you keep dying or damage is too low, then the mission isn’t fulfilled after all? and then there is ilvl downgrade for reward. oder people need rating for items upgrades.
you can also talk to people. same as last week in ruby 17:
I did +14 with ++. then I wanted to try +15 and managed + here. and then i saw +17 ruby and wanted to try my def cds there too. and the leader immediately texted me that no matter how it goes, we’ll play it to the end. that’s how it was. after 50 minutes it was over. nobody is leaved.
