People leaving raid after one wipe?

If the raid was wiping at 70% then I could understand it, but I’ve had too many experiences where many leave after wiping at less than 5%. Like I just wiped on Soulrender at 3%, and then the tank and 2 healers leave. Makes no sense to me and wastes so much time trying to replace them. Do people really join pug raids with the expectation that they will 1-shot everything with zero wipes?

Some probably do and those will leave when raid wipes to stupid stuff.

Might be many reason people leave, example some people might not have time for many tries, and gamble they can make it in one-shot. Setting up and organizing a raid with 20 people can take a lot of time.

It can also depend on mistakes that didn’t cause a wipe. If you got to 3% but the overall performance was bad enough that they figure you were lucky to get to that, I can understand them not wanting to go through it again.

there’s two types of leavers. those who

• realize this isn’t an overgeared boost run where they can be useless
• don’t want to progress the same content every week

and sometimes it’s just the raidleader kicking failers after the wipe

if its a close wipe and really is a leaver(not been kicked out which would look the same) then its likely that the leaver saw something that disturbed their views that the boss is killable.

Alternatively, there is the traditionally terrible part that wow raids of 10+ ppl can take forever between pulls and SL is even worse for it with all the little buffs that need reapplying. Or perhaps simply that after a pull, the player realized that the kill isnt even worth the 2-4 stygian embers.

I cant decribe how bad fate fight is, really bad. One of the worst fights ever you have done. The biggest problem is rune, pug dont know how rune works. i dont want to see kind of boss fight next time.

True, and even organized groups are literally asking ppl to get weakaura for them. This is getting out of hand and a wipe on p3 of the fight due to that is kinda soul crushing.
