People screaming "no content"

Usually I populate these forums to troll or flame but this one is hilarious to me

I literally have no job or other occupation and barely go outside, I’m playing this game like 6-8h daily and I feel I haven’t touched a third of the expansion’s outdoor content, did like two delves and am nowhere near to the max ilvl available rn

Like, what ru guys doing? I refuse to believe most of u saying “no content” have actually done all the content. There’s no way. The only people who maybe have are gunning for world first achievements, or as close to it as possible, and are probably glad to take a breather from the giga grinding they had to do

Go roam the world and listen to the music and stop lying on forums u ingrates

Honestly, I’m disabled and thought I played too much as it is, but I at least sleep and take days away from the computer to read. I’m almost through the last zone after doing all the side quests.

How are these people propelling so fast through the content? Did they read anything?

Personally, even though I have no ongoing content, like quests for example. I’m doing random things to pass time and just prepare for later content.

Leveling up Brann at the moment to 15, which is the current cap for his level. Then I just relax, do a bit of fishing, farm some herbs or just don’t off the game and do something in real life, when I don’t have the urge to farm

People aren’t saying there isn’t content. They are saying there isn’t meaningful group content.

Heroic dungeons are extremely easy, easier than in most expansions at release. M0 is inaccessible, M+ is not available, raids are not open, delves are capped at the very casual tier 3, rated PvP is disabled.

There are three weeks of essentially zero even remotely challenging (group) content that engages people who want a little more than mindlessly questing, pet battling, or grinding materials while watching a Netflix show.

The reason they do the timegating is for the subscription money to keep coming in. I can tell you that if they didn’t have issues, and they had say over 10 million active subs, all content would have been unlocked after the first week xD

To be fair the game has less quests and and story missions than previous games… I have done all quests on 1 character bar the time gated ones.

I’ll just repeat what has been said in a lot of threads by now.

Some of you guys take the statement “there’s nothing to do” far too literally.

What they mean is that there is no enjoyable (for them, me included) content available in the game right now.
A lot of WoW players only enjoy challenging group content in this game, which is raiding/m+/pvp. People like that are bored out of their minds by quests, rep grinds, pet farming, world quests, etc.

That’s all.

I’ve done just about everything there is to do, or so I thought because I keep finding new things to do in preparation for the season. I’m honestly glad I have enough prep time without stressing too much, although I wish M0 opened next reset instead of with heroic week.

100% agree with this. I’m on my 3rd character now and keep finding new stuff constantly by working through all the zones completely. I just did campaign for the first character so I could run through the renown grind with alts to be a bit more efficient. With my 3rd character I’ve been going a bit slower, picking up the caches that require a bit more work, seeing the world quests and exploring areas I hadn’t seen on the first couple of runs.

People saying there’s no content are just plain wrong. They’d just rather moan about it, and cry that they can’t mythic/raid straight away, instead of actually playing the game that’s already out there.

No, probably not. A lot of people in this game don’t bother reading quest texts. In that case leveling takes about 6-8hours.
Those people usually are only interested in the end game content of WoW. So they’re playing WoW more like a competitive game rather than a casual RPG game.

And WoW actually can be played as both. It’s just that those 2 types of players often have issues understanding each other.

It’s the same people saying that the story is terrible after spamclicking accept on every quest, escaping every npc dialogue, and pressing skip on every cinematic

Nah…

I smell RTWF gating here… Which i disagree with by the way…

Its gating millions of players to the benefit of a few hundreds and a failed dream of wow e-sports…

True and also looking at it from a normal point of view, is because they want to prolong as much of the expansion has possible, or they’ll just see player numbers drop so much, that it would end up having a shareholder meeting to say why they went from 10 million active accounts at launch to just 1 million active account (just throwing out random numbers as Blizzard will never provide the number anymore).

But it’s why I play other games, when you hit that wall of “nothing left to do, and I’m bored now!”

This, apart from the subscription theory, is the most likely reason I think.

The average casual player doesn’t really get much from timegating hard content since they’ll inevitably fall behind anyways, as we’ve already discussed in another thread.

But this timegating actually does most likely benefit RTWF players. So basically 0.01% or something like that.

PvE E-Sports is kind of a weird thing anyways imo but whatever.

Sub theory is false.

Blizzard dosent care about 1 week. What they want is for you to stick arround for months.

1 week wont change anything…

So the only reason left is that blizzard dosent want the RTWF guys to be full hero gear on week 1. Because then the event will last 1 week at best.

They somehow beleive its good promotion if those swetlords nobody cares about take a month to clear the raid.

I agree, yes. Losing/gaining one week would AT most just mean 12,99.

I was under the impression that they do this so RTWF guys don’t have to spam 5 different contents in the span of 1 week to prepare for the raid properly. But maybe you’re right.

Tbf it does look kinda weird when the supposedly hardest endgame content, the entire game has to offer, is already beaten 2 weeks after release. But yes, RTWF raiders are probably the last people Blizzard should actually plan their game around.

Its obvious your definition of content does not align with others.

For me ilvl farming, doing achies, mount farming, tmog farming etc. are not content.

Content is delves, torghast, etc. and other than delves we don’t have anything. The rest is just a repeat of what I’ve been doing for the past 5 years since I’ve started playing WoW.

So, MYTHIC raid, M+ and PvP are the only forms of “even remotely challenging” Group content?

The vast majority of the playerbase that doesn´t even clear heroic and has problems even clearing M0 would likely disagree…

Because Normal and heroic raid open next week, 14 days after Release /18 days after early access, and last time I checked 3 weeks is 21 days

I understand people´s frustration, but overstating arguments and ignoring /distorting facts doesn´t usually help convince people :beers:

They wouldn’t do this if the storytelling in this game and the presentation were more engaging. But the writing is uninspired and generic, with only few exceptions, the presentation is dated (in TWW some cutscenes don’t even have voice acting anymore), and the quest system is extremely formulaic: go there, get two quests, turn them in, get two more quests, do them, get two more quests, do them, get two more quests, do them, get one quest, do it and get 500 reputation and get sent to the next NPC where you go through the identical steps.

I read over sixty novels in the past year, so I don’t feel is lack the attention span for reading. But the WoW storytelling genuinely doesn’t hook me. The writing here is void of anything that makes books or shows compelling. It could be AI generated and would serve the same purpose.

Well its kinda hard to play WoW as casual RPG game when entire overworld is 1 giant faceroll so you end up spending more time reading then actualy playing. Like tons of quest takes longer to read then to actualy finish them.

Its also really hard to take story seriously when you have part where unnamed dwarf makes sacryfice in battle which i could literaly end in 10 seonds solo while watching Netflix. Gameplay is completly disconected from narrative. Also every zone is exact same copy pasterino story. Part or faction is corrupted and main villian is just dude what wanted more power.
