Pains me to say it but i agree with the Undead Horde scum. I am still too low, level wise, at the moment but if its red it will be dead (or at least try as i suck at pvp). Why? Because its fun.
Two people pvping goes onto bigger and better battles. I couldnt care less if i get honour or not I do it for fun and if I lose a few hours of levelling as a result than so be it.
Thatās like saying Iāll go into a library and just sit there not reading any books. Thereās no rules against it but itās counterproductive.
This analogy does not work. It would only work if PvPing would be the only thing that you can do on a PvP server.
I think people do not HAVE to pvp every time there is an opportunity to do so. You can choose not to, because reasons. However, you always have the option to do so which is why I believe most people choose to play on a PvP server. The sense of danger and the option to pvp if they want to.
That this orc did not want to help you at that moment is unfortunate, but there are several reasons why he could have chosen not to help you. Maybe he wanted to avoid being hunted down in revenge, because like he said he āwas questingā.
I had a solo player come by and do his own thing. He completely ignored my existence, only to start jumping around me like a headless chicken as soon as he needed help. It was so satisfying to let him own his death.
I am avoiding wpvp, why? Cuz every ally is bloody mage in group of 3 and 10 levels higher than me running around. I could form my own group to overwhelm them but why?
That doesnāt mean I do not engage. There was a time when similar lvl spriest was attacking a lower lvl horde hunter so I jumped on him just to be stunlocked to death by 4 rogues >.>
wPvP is fun, but cleave groups spiking in lvl kinda made it pointless unless weāre near max lvl.
I am on a PvP server just because I wanted to see it. I had been on an RP server before.
I like it, its not like you have to go warmongering all the time. Often I just ran past horde and slap on some dots while keep running. Just a nice way to say fudsck you
Thereās very little wpvp atm. Horde and Alliance are ignoring each other entirely. I guess thereās just no incentive for it until the pvp system comes out. In phase 2 there will be plenty of Wpvp because you get a 10g discount for your mount when you achieve R3, thatās plenty of incentive for lowbies to slaughter each other.
Yeah, agree with this.
Iām not against WPvP, but running in to fight characters who are at least 10 levels higher, possibly 20 levels higher, isnāt obviously helping. I am likely to just be insta-gibbed.
Iām on a PvE but if you expected memorable WPvP then you are rather demanding to much from the players. There is no honor right now so nothing to gain, only leveling tempo to loose. And if someone does WPvP then itās obvious it will be gank-alike attacking with advantage. As honor rolls in max level will start camping green-level levelers, while some streamers and more organize guild will make some PvP raids (if servers can handle it and in the long run - if it provides enough honor). PvP twinks may show up to But it will be a gank/farm fest because players will always want to get an advantage just like right now layers are used.
Maybe thatās the consensus on your realm, after all each realm has itās own character now. Not some phased crz mess where your realm is meaningless.
I like to kill idiots that try to gank. I donāt enjoy killing somoene that might stop me from doing my quests even when a pvp system will be in place.
All Iāve had thus far (bar 1 Hunter in Shimmering Flats) is players attack me when Iām on 10% health. If Iām full health they just run on past.
Even though Iām in a huge guild - finding groups who are all on the same quests is tough (even out in the world) and people seem far more interested in zooming to 60 as quick as poss. Shame really; but each to their own.
Thats the basic unwriten rule of PVP. You see a fight between players. You always help. Period.
(ofcourse, there are situations - exeptions where there is just no help and no point to join the fight - for example bunch of skull lvl players ganking low lvl player/s. Then you just save your own skin) .
You will get a plethora of excuses why not help ⦠I am questing/ no time/ not effective/ no honor and thats just it - exuses of the weak.
Nobody is forcing you ot others to join the horde/alliance conflict. But it just shows what a charakter you are, when you let your fellow player die.
Itās a mistake to expect your faction to always back you up in Wpvp.
It would be nice but alot of people choose PvP server for it being threatening and to play with the most hardcore players but not necessarily to always engage.
I get in alot of WPvP but definitely not overly aggressive, I can tell if someone isnt interested.
You have to keep in mind that not everyone who is on a PvP server are there for the same reason as you. Some people might have joined simply because thatās where their friends play, and they might not be that interested in PvP themselves. I almost joined a PvP server myself because a majority of my friends were, but the combination of long queues and that I really donāt have much interest in Wpvp made me pick a PvE server in the end.
I hate pvp servers and I play on one. Why? Because my friends force me to. Personally I wont waste my time joining a battle I canāt win for no reward but bragging rights. I only have 2-3h a day to play. The rest is spent on work and real life. I still do it though if I have to
