I have read that reddit post with “A letter to Blizzard entertainment” and that post didn’t have any kind of decent constructive criticism at all. I would say that the guy who wrote that just wanted attention. He brought up many issues with the game that have existed since vanilla. One of the complains he had was about rewards being behind reputation, which was in the game since launch. Take your time and actually read that post and see how little is said with so many words. My guess is that you didn’t read the post properly.
And also, you have always been a customer to Blizzard since the first second you paid for one of their products. You think a company was your friend before or something? Think about what you just said because that’s just silly and you know it. Every company wants to make money in the end and the whole point of WoW and other games is to “milk” you of money. I’m really surprised that people have started to realize this now when I have known this about games for about 20 years. Maybe I should have said something earlier?
The only thing I can somewhat agree on is class design for a few classes. As holy paladin for example, pretty much nothing have changed from Legion except that the artifact unique power which almost was useless doesn’t exist anymore so I’m not really affected by this.
But people need to give constructive and real criticism, not just say “I liked the game and now I don’t” in a 100 different ways, basically exactly like that reddit post did. That doesn’t help.
I don’t know my daily life is kind of perfect atleast for me i work 8h a day 5 days a week and when i go home i don’t think my job at all i leave that to my workplace and at home i got unlimited free time to do anything i want until the next day as i don’t schedule my life at all i take life one day at the time.
No stress and i don’t surround my self with negative people irl.
Yet it’s comments like yours that continue to be of very little value since you aren’t saying what is wrong with the game, you are just saying “game is bad, fix it”. This type of comment is what most people that are tired of the game is saying basically.
I personally had a 8 month period in the end of Legion where I logged in once a week to raid for a few hours and then I didn’t play WoW at all because I was tired of the game. This period probably made me more interested in the game again when I started playing for real again when BFA launched. If I had played the entire duration of Legion I would probably have gotten tired of BFA earlier since it’s basically more of Legion at its core.
Well that’s also true, If WotLK is considered good then TBC would be bad, which it isn’t.
Mists of Pandaria has one of the lower user scores on metacritic for example, and this was before review bombing became popular. I also played MoP and it invented systems that many people complain about today (RNG loot with titanforging for example). It also had horrible balancing with tanks outdamaging damage dealers in raids etc. I wouldn’t consider it “good” unless you really loved pet battles.
Trying to fit entire expansions into one of two descriptions - good or bad - seems silly. It just takes all nuance out of the discussion.
Mists of Pandaria was controversial because of its theme. It got a lot of haters because of “lol Asia hello, jack black trolololol, kung fu panda lololol”
MoP is liked for a few reasons.
One is because of its world. Pandaria is arguably one of the most cohesive places in WoW in terms of art, music, and story. It all just ties together to become truly…beautiful.
The second is because of the raiding. The Throne of Thunder is still considered one of the best raids Blizzard have ever made.
And finally, if you ask the PvPers, then Season 15 is considered one of the best PvP Seasons of all time.
Well I get people got different taste. Personally I found Legions story for example about demons invading about as interesting as S7 of Game of Thrones with those undeads invading. Not even the slightest interesting, but most people seemed ok with it.
Still doesn’t remove the fact that most people have a really hard time to explain why they think game is bad. “Last game was good so this one was gonna be bad” is kinda silly lets be honest here.
I liked MoP pvp was awesome and i don’t mind pandaren at all.
Only thing i disliked in MoP was the orc stuff at the end but that is only because cataclysm was already full of superthrall and i would like more stories about other races than constant human/orc crap.
First level to 120 before you make any conclusion as level 15 is to low level to have an opinion. Could be that raiders still like the game but as an casual it has got an nosedive.
