I always assume it’s people taking stuff to disenchant, or whatever greedy reason.
But ye, it kinda does suck when you’re gearing your alt and some 6.2k gearscore warrior takes off with your ilvl 232 weapon that he clearly doesn’t intend to use. But it is what it is. You just have to go again. Atleast you’re getting emblems, which sort of acts as a bad luck protection.
its need. i need both gold from trading it and abyss crystals on my enchanter .
so need > greed works as intended since i need both 
you have 245 weapons on ulduar stuff trader - just exchange defilers for the other currency

Do you realise what the greed coin symbol represents? With your logic everyone should press need on every single item that drops, which is obviously not the way it’s intended. And not how things are done in game either.
I guess it’s degenerate attitudes like this that eventually made Blizzard implement personal loot. Perhaps it wasn’t a bad choice after all.
Besides the point, sometimes I do wonder though if you’re on these forums just playing the devil’s advocate, or trolling. Since you seem to disagree about every single intended thing in this game. Just because something CAN be exploited, it doesn’t mean you should. The world definitely would be a better place if more people understood this. This goes for both Azeroth and Tellus.

nah im 100 % serious 
im constantly broke on wolk classic due to prices of epic gems and runing ICC 25 on 3 chars / powerleveling proffs etc so every 20 g matters a lot.
Liek jist this week enchanting and gemming Staff i got on druid was 1000 + gold - multiple drops a week - that’s like 2-3k weekly in gems / envhants
you know how expensive powerleveling enchanting and jc is ? like tbc bracket ? crazy expensive
and i still need 10 000 g for 2x flying
To be fair, in 2009 we got an improved need over greed system that stopped a chunk of it.
And you think you’re the only player in this game that needs gold? The solution isn’t stealing items.
Also, if you’re JC and go broke buying epic gems you’re doing it wrong. You get them for free if you have half a brain. Pretty much the same goes for enchanting, which you also claim to have.
How did you do in Vanilla/TBC? Stuff was way more expensive and it was way harder to farm materials/gold.

What are you even talking about? Cata boost? Cata probably wasn’t even planned when we played vanilla & TBC. It doesn’t make sense.
This is one of your quotes from another thread about 2 weeks ago. I don’t think you even remember your own stances, probably because you’re just spewing nonsense.
You have a very twisted idea of effort if you think effort is character boosts and stealing loot, because you didn’t put in any effort in making gold in the first place. I want to take you seriously, but when you contradict yourself time and time again you’re making it very difficult for me.
He means he didn’t play till he was able to boost directly to 80 and now he needs on everything cause he doesn’t actually play the game.
Basically, he’s just a lazy toxic player.
My experience about these kind of people on my daily gama run:
They will wait for others to leave party and then will roll on everything. They know people won’t wait long for loots.
What i do? I use global ignore list addon and it’s warn me when they’re in party with me. When i see them again, i will inform the party so either they will get kick at the start or everyone will roll on loots and trade to the person who needs.
