You can of course go for a hyena they fit the vibe and are there mounts. Or you go for a vulture I think they fit really good. But the default snake is also kinda cool since they have that rivalry with the snake people

I went to the pet wiki and now I struggle between Hyenas, Vultures and the stone cobras from the underground place. It has green and blue.
Hyeana, the only true friend of the Vulpera.
It is kinda weird their race mount is not an alpaca.

Because the Alpaca is used for pulling the wagons and food/milk.
It’s not used as mount, not even in their stories.
It’s move…livestock?
The Hyeana on the other hand is their closest companion and battle partner.

It is a pain to farm the other colors of the Alpaca. You basically have to camp 13 different posiitons with group friends on the spring hopper and wait till a world boss spawns on the other.
A hyena is the best and closest to a Vulpera
Warm and comfortable to snuggle to during the cold desert night and they eat the remains of any fool who dare to attack us
