Permanent debuff applied by a quest won't go away, prevents movement

I was doing the Nightfae campaign, during the theater quest the spell Blizzard (227723) was applied to me as permanent debuff as part of the story and was supposed to be removed just a few seconds later, but I had entered a dungeon in the middle of the sequence and now the debuff is permanently applied to me, making me unable to move. I had finished the quest since then, and I’m still bugged.

I had tried logging out and using the unstuck self-service, but I am still unable to play the game.

Try entering a BG, it should clear the debuffs.

It did not help, presumably, debuffs applied by a scripted sequence can only be removed by one.

I thought it was arenas that cleared debuffs, not BG’s.

Dying has fixed it.

That seems extreme. But glad it is fixed.

Arena didn’t fix it, it was a serious issue.

Annoyingly I have recommended that in the past but it didn’t always solve it… typical!
Glad you are sorted though.
