I was talking to a friend last night who swears when dark heart drops Dracthyr will be able to use their Visage form permanently.
I think he has the wrong end of the stick and has got confused with the upcoming Emberthal quest where she chooses to take on a Visage.
Was he right or has he got it wrong?.
Worgens never got that luxury so it is unlikley Dracthyr will either.
However there is the armor clipping issue, so maybe they might implement it for that reason.
Well ion hazzikostas said that there will be perma visage form in combat, but I think that will come in TWW.
Swear I read it somewhere too. There was one exception and that was that if you cast two Dracthyr specific spells, the ones that turn you into a dragon, you would transform after casting and remain in dragon form, but someone mentioned a macro that you use to switch back. For the life of me I cant find the post right now. Though I am not sure if it is in the upcoming patch but thought it was TWW.
There is video in wowhead where they interview Ion and he said it there.
He is confusing it. What has been stated is that in early TWW the Dracthyr will be able to have other classes. When playing these other classes you can always be in visage form.
I think evokers will always be like worgen for combat due to their skills requiring the dracthyr animation.

Fantastic, I was hoping for this…having this as an option hurts nobody.
Dracthyr animations are the same as the demon form animations for DH’s, they just phase in and out of demon form for a certain skill.
Worgen should get the same option… Werewolves arent always in wolf form either.
I think one issue with Dracthyr are the fact that their body-build is appealing to some, but not to everyone, which is fine. One way to make things better are to introduce different body-build for Dracthyr (And also other races too if plausible!) because I’d really love to remain in the dragon form if I can be a strong, buff dragon.
So yeah. Please Blizz, give us that option

they should’ve put more effort into properly rigging gear on the model, I feel like the visage was a way to not have to do that
but as others have said, I doubt it will happen
Dracthyr are not dragonborn male elves and female humans, they are dracthyr
