"pet battle challenge Gnomeregan" no achiement when complete

Hi

After a ticket and a request for a bug report from WoW, here I am. I just completet the Gnomeregan pet battle dungeon and it did not trigger the achiement for it. since it is a long fight that can tage a couple of hours I wont do it again if this is broken. Have any others experinced this? I completet the weekly quest for it and got the reward from the quest giver, but no achiement. The achiement is what I was after be couse of the pet reward. Any idea of how to resolve this?

An update after ticket have been locked at and a GM response. A lot of praising words,but no help sadly :sleepy:. The GM will not give me the achievement, be course that could apparently be dangerous for the game and my characters :roll_eyes: well… As a paying customer and a hard fought battle in Gnomeregan, that was disappointing.
The deadmines and Wailing Caverns are fine and will give the achievement as of yesterday. Gnomeregan, sadly not.

Stupid question but did you complete the dungeon in challenge mode, for which you have to have completed it on normal once?

From here:

" Normal

  • You can heal or revive your pets any time

  • You must have at least one pet leveled to 25 to unlock

Challenge

  • You cannot heal or revive your pets

  • You must have at least 15 pets leveled to 25 to unlock

  • Have finished the normal difficulty of the Gnomeregan pet battle dungeon

  • This can be done weekly, and rewards Pristine Gizmo upon completion"

Edit to add: what was your reward from the quest giver? If it was the Ultimate Battle Stone, that’s the reward for the first completion of the pet battle dungeon on normal. If you got the Pristine Gizmo, I think you did the challenge mode and you should raise a bug report.

thx a lot. I did not know that. Why it is different from Deadmines and WC for the first run is strange. I did get the Ultimate Battle Stone adn by that it must have been the normal mode. Cant remember I had the option to select the challenge mode?. just strange that DM and WC then where “challenge mode” be default and not Gnomeregan. But thx for the help, now the GM could not tell me that :slight_smile:

You wouldn’t have the option to select challenge mode until you complete the pet battle dungeon on normal at least once, so now if you go back there you should be able to do the challenge mode. You didn’t waste time by doing the “wrong mode”, you did the mode you need to do to unlock the challenge mode :slight_smile:
