Pet Delights, positivity thread #2

Those games are just delightful, aren’t they? Good memories.

I wish Warcraft played like those games!

Back in the day I thought it was one of the greatest games ever, as it combined my favourite movie with my favourite hobby. Then imagine my delight when part 2 came and we could actually play even more sides!

The multiplayer has to be one of the clunkiest abominations I have ever seen, though.

The wealth of custom maps and game modes were very fun, but the connectivity issues…

I decided to switch things up with my Hrothgar on FF14 by making a Roe. And I gotta say… I feel a lot more powerful basically playing a Gerudo that’s as tall as all these max height Hrothgar roleplayers than another liondad.

In any case, gonna start arm wrestling everyone I see on her. She’s just that kinda gal.

Forgot to look at the size label while buying a pair of pantyhose. Turned out I got lucky, and they were my size after all.

I completely finished my first playthrough of Dark Souls 3 including the DLCs and every boss along with every location and possible bonfire. It’s possibly one of the best games I’ve ever played and some boss fights were absolutely amazing.

:tada: :champagne:

What’d you make of Midir?

Struggled until I learned his attack pattern and that you have to stay right in front of him and hit his head, the second phase I just rushed him so he wouldn’t do the 1-shot laser phase and then it was EZ.

Offering free hugs and gratifications!

Champion Gundyr is my fav boss fight ever. He is so intense it’s crazy.

Other bosses be like:

P1: Normal self P2: transforms into monster

Champion Gundyr:

P1: Normal self P2: Starts trying

The whole 2nd DLC of DS3 is just my favourite thing.

Unironically Champion Gundyr was the boss I struggled with the most, I had the most attempts on him, even got Midir and Gael down in less attempts. Gundyr’s foot ended up being more dangerous to me than his halberd-glaive and his combo and/or underhanded handle swing where he knocks you up in the air… got me every time.

Every time I think about him I am sad that they removed the shoulder bash animation from Overpower in exchange for a generic execute animation.

Champion Gundyr is every Arms warrior’s idol.

It’s just warden guard break 4head

Good thing I’m a fury warrior then  Gundyr wasn’t my favorite boss though, by a mile. Maybe cause I spent an entire night on him and raged out numerous times… I think my favorites would be the Dancer, Gael or perhaps the Nameless King. The Demon Prince was also fun, though those flaming meteors of hell, were not.

More of the Pontiff Sulyvahn type, eh?

Perhaps in my next playthrough I will attempt dual wielding. Still have no clue how the whole sorceries/pyromancy/miracle stuff works, I can’t even slot one spell cause I don’t have enough attunement slots or something so I just gave up. Early game I used the Claymore, then Black Knight Sword and I also used the Splitleaf Greatsword (even though it’s a glaive) to honor Gundyr’s own halberd-glaive swinging skills.

I also attempted to use shields and parry bosses like THE CHAMP and Pontiff but eventually gave up cause I always got the timings wrong.

I have no idea why I can’t seem to get parries down. Parries in For Honor are no problem but I can’t seem to nail the DS3 parry timing.

Ended up going with the old reliable black knight greatsword.

Try with the small leather shield, has the most parry frames.

It’s weird cause sometimes I was able to parry Gundyr and the Pontiff, but then the other five times I completely mess up the timings and I get pancaked. I can parry and time my attacks perfectly in Mordhau but for some reason in DS3 I am absolutely trash at it.
