From what I was told by the people I got in touch with, your mileage will vary depending on which group of people you RP with. Some people are turbo edgy, some are only interested in ERP as the horror stories go. Some people have so much weird OOC drama it’s not even funny. The community can be a minefield to navigate which is why finding the right people is key. I believe I might have found them.
It’s best you play through the story if only to catch yourself up to speed + get various sets along the way which might be good for RP. Here’s the set I use on my inquisitor:
The chest piece is from the Sith starter zone story quests, legs, gloves and boots are from Lana Beniko’s set from the Cartel Market – though you can buy all sets on the Auction House without becoming a pay pig, provided you have enough gold. Belt is from Visas Marr’s set.
I have another set which is more junker/traveler kind of set for when you don’t want to advertise yourself as EVIL SITH WALKING THROUGH in places you’d rather stay more incognito + a cool mask for combat with all the quality of life gadgets an assassin might need. Tell me with a straight face that the inquisitor in Fallen Order didn’t have a dope voice distorting mask.
Besides that, you’re restricted with the gear and weapons your class can wield, but every class can wear Adaptive Armor which is more cosmetic and most of the time the better looking stuff.
Some classes have dumb weapon restrictions like how Imperial Agents can’t wield blaster pistols, but regardless of which spec you’re playing, you can equip whatever weapon types your class has access to. As Sith Assassin, I can wield 1h and 2h weapons, which is why I had to buy matching lightsaber hilts to swap between in RP combat.
Edit: Just because you can equip the weapon doesn’t mean you can use your abilities with it. It’s only useful for RP purposes.
I’m delighted to see all my characters are still there and that my place on Nar Shadaa is still there albeit I was less pleased that I apparently never furnished the place at all… that’s about to change!
Oh for sure. Although from what playthroughs I’ve seen on YouTube it seems like the distortion effect for players in SWTOR is… weak? Idk, I’m probably just expecting James Earl Jones levels of bass.
Welp, seems like I’m going to make one of every empire class.
This is my outfit. It’s very standard but I quite like it. I do have two other outfits I can use as well but this one is the best fit for her. Perhaps not for RP but for general use. h t_t_p_s://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/672849077058273291/676573258908172288/Screenshot_2020-02-11_00_40_15_878568.jpg
Let’s all ignore Doctor Lokin staring at me. Maybe he’s mad that my character just snapped out of a 4 year coma and is walking around like it’s nothing.
Genuine Pureblood Sith of old are extinct after generations of interbreeding with the Dark Jedi exiles who conquered them and took their culture as their own couple thousand years ago, hence starting the Sith Order as we know it. The “Pureblood” Sith at this point in time are descendants of them with concentration of original Sith blood so high it manifests as the racial features we see. 98% of imperial population has some level of Sith blood in them because one way or another they’re a descendant of a Dark Jedi exile. The other 2% are non-natives (fallen Jedi, people from conquered worlds, aliens).
