Pet Delights, positivity thread #2

Killed ludwig on my 2nd attempt today!

I wouldn’t even call the 1st an attempt really. Walked through the fog gate, got hit twice and was like; “i’m not wasting blood vials, just kill me”

Already posted this in another thread, but I feel the need for it after my forced forum-holidays:

It is good to be back.

That’s my 2nd time killing him!

Last time i did it was years ago which was when I last played the game.

Going to try and power through Laurence next and then onto enjoying the rest of the DLC (I basically killed Ludwig and then stopped playing because of IRL last time)

Nice!

Have you completed the chalice dungeons?

I’ve killed all main bosses (excluding the presence). Was doing the chalice dungeons but then I encountered that big bull like boss, aberrant beast or something, for the second time. Was like, ew no, and haven’t played since then…

but that platinum trophy is looking really juicy

Not yet, I plan to do them after the DLC and then do Wetnurse etc. last.

I had a poke around a few years ago but didn’t get far. I also don’t have online access so I can’t use chalice IDs for farming.

ah no, me neither, just treating it as 100% single player content basically. it’s actually a bit boring because there’s almost no lore and it’s basically just the same environments/similar layouts again and again, but the challenge still draws me in.

also I believe the final boss is an exception since it’s unique and pretty important to the lore I believe, so there’s that too.

I know they are.

Its okay, i know the plot, I’ve seen multiple playthroughs.

Mainly because I didn’t have a PS4 for a very long time and Lobos (a soulsborne streamer I like to watch) streams it on the regular and since I didn’t know I was going to get a PS4 in the future, I’ve watched a lot of them.

But I like the bosses most of all, not the Sen’s Fortress Bullcrap dialed up to the nine.

Now you’re making me want to play trough Bloodborne. Damn you.

I’m lowkey hooked on SWTOR and now I realize most MMOs are fundamentally the same.

Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy proc classes, because playing a Sith sorcerer in lightning spec is just pure nonstop fun.

Shadows of Yharnam are easy when you have a +6 Evelyn and 21 bloodtinge.

Just parried the melee two into death. Even if i missed a parry, it still hurt them.

Got my Zandalari to 110, and earned my heritage armour! Yay

FINALLY! I hate that spell as a DM (and as a player who refuses to abuse it).

Finally made it, my Zandalari at 120! Now then, what’re my guild options? I am not necessarily looking for strict Military. But I would like some mainly troll / zandalari focused guild.

It’s two words:
Painted. Shields.

First Empire is a good one. Hand of Zul also if you are interested in trolls outside of Zandalari and Darkspear.

Mind telling me why?
did it make the game to easy?
did it ruin something?
what other than a healing flavoured moonbeam did this do to make you hate it so?

It’s pretty well explained in the article. I looked it up and, yeah, it’s completely overpowered.

You call forth a nature spirit to soothe the wounded. The intangible spirit appears in a space that is a 5-foot cube you can see within range. The spirit looks like a transparent beast or fey (your choice). Until the spell ends, whenever you or a creature you can see moves into the spirits space for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, you can cause the spirit to restore ld6 hit points to that creature (no action required). The spirit can’t heal constructs or undead. As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the Spirit up to 30 feet to a space you can see.

Anybody can walk through the spirit and get healed for 1d6 hitpoints. You can just line up people and march them through the spirit, then do it again in the next round. It lasts for 1 minute, which is 10 rounds, or 10D6 healing for the whole congaline at a level where you have three dice worth of hitpoints.

Compare this to another healing spell of the same level, Prayer of Healing, which heals up to six creatures for 2D8 plus a modifier hitpoints. Healing Spirit is so good there’s no reason not to take it; it’s a one minute alternative to a night of full rest and can really mess with the pacing of the encounters.

Oh yeah thats fair, I recall when I used it on my druid if it remained out of combat everyone pretty much just reset their hp to max, but in combat, I don’t know.
maybe my group is just really bad at team work (we are) but getting in a neat line mid combat seems like theory more than practice.
ofc it could just be my group, spreading out to much ( we do that ).

You don’t have to do it in a line. The party members just have to walk through it from any direction. And if somebody can’t reach it the cleric can move the spirit as a bonus action.
