It is my eighth workday in a row before I get one day off tomorrow. After the day off I have seven workdays in a row. So yay for tomorrow!

With the rep buff active at the moment I visit Dalaran regularly and the other day I was pleasantly surprised to see there’s still RP happening there.

Sarcastic positivity but… joined for Heroic N’Zoth kill with nothing better to do on my main. Raid leader invites me and asks me to link curve. After a minute I get booted and he whispers “Next time don’t link false achi”. I talk with him a bit and tell him to check my armory for heroic kills. He keeps b***ing about RIO site although what the external site shows can be outdated by months.
At that point it’s more about proving that raid leader wrong than wanting to join his group… I can get into another run as soon as the game wakes up after all. However I decided to check this raid leader’s armory just out of curiosity…
Surprise surprise, he didn’t have heroic N’Zoth kill! Could be an alt, but made me laugh anyway.

I picked up RE3 on sale, and for my second run I got an Aerith mod.

It’s honestly perfect.
Aerith loading up a glock is something I never thought I’d see. Like to see Sephiroth get the drop on her this time.
I don’t even care how trash-tier enhancement shaman is. Nothing feels as good in this game as getting the good procs on one and just slamming your target like 20 times in one second.

After 8 months of unemployment and nothing but a downhill spiral of shoddy news, mistakes, and N’Zoth-cinematic tier of unfortunate events, I am finally getting a job again in 2 weeks.

I really struggle everytime I forget to gear-up my Shaman before expansions. I think getting him through WoD->Legion was pain itself.
And yet, now? When the stormstrike hits juuust right…

A low-key doomsday prepping friend told me that I needn’t worry about society breaking down. Mostly since I’ll probably end up the victim of a nearby biker club the moment food storages begin to run out.

I mean, it’s a reasonable expectation. I’d kind of assume a state of complete corporate serfdom before any mad max scenario, though. Keeping some emergency gear is all well and good but preppers in general are loonytunes doomsday cultists waiting for the Big One so that the inadequacies of their lives can be wiped clean in a new world where they can be Lord Humungus.
In the context of looming realities, they’re societally and politically useless as anything other than loot piñatas for NGO enforcers.
Actual delight: it seems like I’ll be able to sell some stuff and have a sliver of disposable income just in time for Shadowlands.

Near the end of the expansion remembered that I didn’t do the latest raid and started queuing LFR (just to see it, don’t need the gear, etc). Since that’s the first time I would see the fights, was queuing as a DPS. Well, DPS queues are long. Very long. Really long.
Long story short, when I only had a single wing left and so couldn’t combine queues for multiple rings, I said “screw it” and went to watch the videos on how to tank the damn thing. The bosses were all simple, queued as a tank, 3 minutes later I am in the raid, all bosses in the wing one shot, voila, why the heck did I not go as a tank before.
A success story. :- )
