Young Justice. It’s really good, getting deeper in Vandal Savage’s past is slowly turning into the high points of the series.
Stormblood pleasantly struck me as a graphical improvement over ARR and Heavensward immediately after entering the first zone. I later learned that it was when they dropped PS3 support, and it really shows.
The good old dawn of war games’ overacting is a source of great merriment.
Heard the Ala Mhigan anthem, and it’s simply awesome. It feels entirely believable as an anthem, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear a similar one in real life.
Stormblood spoilers
That they wrote lyrics for both the original one and the altered one during Garlean occupation, and actually wrote this into the story, is doubly awesome. It feels like they went the extra mile with the effort.
In general, the fact that FFXIV uses musical leitmotifs so aptly, and at such thematically fitting moments, is awesome.
This game is awesome.
I finished Red Dead Redemption 2 and man… what a game. What a game. Now to go for 100% completion and get the secret ending.
I’m finally replacing my 9 year old PC because its on its last legs.
Time for smooth gaming
It’s sunny today. That’s all I have to say.
Reposting this from Pet Peeves:
Things I love in FFXIV World:
- Ishgard. I love so love this place. It’s like when I discovered Gilneas but 100% better by the fact that it’s a living, breathing place and it’s going to have housing soon enough.
- Dragons: I’ve started doing the Omega raids and seeing the revelations in HW and EW, not to mention what the Omega raids tells you about them in FFXIV world, it’s tragic and yet awesome what role the dragons have played.
- ESTINIEEEEEEN! HE’S THE AZURE DRAGOON!
- Ysayle, my frosty bae.
- The Leveilleur Twins: Yes, they were annoying at first in ARR, but when questing through the HW & SB with each of them respectively, I started to regard Alphinaud with alot of brotherly love, since he reminds me of myself at times. Allisaie too as well, even if I got to feel it was something of a hero crush she had for the WoL, but I love her impulsive personality and reveals she has realistic flaws I myself can struggle with at times.
- Master Matoya (Both of them). Love the snark, but also because Y’shtola was the first Scion I ever encountered <3.
- HAURCHEFANT! My eternal bro <3.
- Hildibrand quests. Super fun
- Much, much, much more stuff I can hardly put into 10 point list.
10.Mundane thing, but I love the crafting system. As someone who disregarded the crafting in other MMOs, FFXIV have made me love crafting because of the lore snippets and much more rewarding system it provides.
I finished Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. It may or may not be related I am giving my cat all the snuggles at this moment.
I just learned that freudian slippers exist.
Bumped into open world RP by accident twice in four days on Omega.
Once I was just standing in Vesper Bay configuring the game, not even having the RP flag on, when a novice with the RP flag approached me. New to the game, it turned out. Gave them some pointers while RPing with them.
And once I exited Ishgard through the Gates of Judgment while questing, only to see an RP guild group preparing to enter the city. Stayed a little to RP with them, too.
(It helped that each of my characters actually was at that location IC at that moment.)
It’s quite a welcome change from having to ask for RP on Discord, and I hope there will be more such chance meetings in the future.
I felt this in my soul.
And in another FFXIV delight, I’m glad to see RPers playing nonbinary characters who actually look nonbinary — that is, you have a hunch that they’re a they just from the character model. It helps that the character creation is much friendlier towards such character concepts than WoW’s is.
(I’m not nonbinary so I’m sorry if I said something inappropriate)
After however long, I finally got the abom maldraxxus stitch armour leg thingies. Only took forever for them to pop up.
Thin humans were a distant dream. Yes, I remember. I remember the days when we had hope.
P.S. Given the recent revelations about people who made the game, it makes sense that the only male body option is bulky chadster.
Bing chilling!
Correct me if I’m just old, wrong, boomer etc. but aren’t enby people supposed to look like themselves and not like any specific body or stereotype?
i mean, depending on the context, ‘looking like themselves’ or ‘look nonbinary’ can mean several things
even then they may present masc, femme, androgynous etc while still identifying as non-binary
anyway, pet delight: for once, youtube. i don’t really know whether those [Music Artist] - Topic things bring any revenue for the artists themselves (and i hope they would!), but several of very obscure artists i want to listen to have their performances now provided that I once thought to be completely gone
Lintian probably meant ‘androgynous’.
Nonbinary people don’t have to try to look androgynous, of course, but it’s definitely something they often strive for, and having it as an accessible option isn’t a bad thing.
