I get that the secondary is there for extra damage, and doesn’t benefit from it’s class abilities, that’s fine.
What I want to do is, when I summon my spirit beast, my tiger is my secondary pet, and if I summon my tiger, my spirit beast is my secondary pet.
Hope this makes sense.
So basically I only want the 2 pets active. The Spirit Beast and the Tiger as a team with one or other being the primary.
How do I make this work?
Do I need to abandon all my other pets?
I kinda like the Void Stalker (which is the default secondary pet) so I’d rather not abandon it if I can help it.
The Void Stalker is always the secondary pet regardless of which pet I summon as the primary, apart from the Void Stalker itself.
So, it kind of looks like this:
Primary Pet = Spirit Beast, Secondary Pet = Void Stalker
Primary Pet = Prowler, Secondary Pet = Void Stalker
Primary Pet = Blackrock Work, Secondary Pet = Void Stalker
Primary Pet = Young Forest Bear, Secondary Pet = Void Stalker
Primary Pet = Void Stalker, Secondary Pet = Blackrock Worg
What I want to happen:
Primary Pet = Spirit Beast, Secondary Pet = Prowler.
Primary Pet = Prowler, Secondary Pet = Spirit Beast.
I hope that makes more sense. It’s hard to put it into text.
You could try to abandon all pets except those two. Although I’m not sure if this will work. If it doesn’t, or if you don’t want to try that then…
…the only way to achieve what you’re after is:
When you want the S-beast as the main pet, then call it out. You also need to put a Prowler in the first stable slot(visit a Stable Master to do this).
And when you want to have a Prowler as the main pet, you need to switch places of the two. So that the S-beast is now sitting in the first stable slot at your stables while the Prowler is now with you instead, and then vice versa. Etc. Etc.
Basically, whenever you want to switch the two, you also need to swap the pets in the stables.
I dont know how the ability works, but instead of abandoning, maybe you could try putting other pets in the stable. Losing the option to summon other pets is a negative, though.
The secondary pet that gets called needs to be the first pet in the Stable, i.e. The first in Stable Slot, when you visit a Stable Master (not to be confused with your regular Pet Slots).
This system is beyond stupid and reeks of lazy interface design on behalf of BM hunters…
