Saw this on the US forums too, people are…quite mad at it.
No surprise. It basically means that the item is in the game, but we won’t see any backpacks until August next year.
Wild.
In fact it’s entirely possible that a new expansion will have launched by the time the backpacks and transmog set become available to players.

Makes me kinda think that it isn’t even ingame yet and only is contained in future patches.
Only Blizzard would pull a “you pay for it but we still timegate it”.

BfA released just short of a year after 7.3 came out (50 weeks). At this rate they’ll probably get the backpack just before next expac.
And then there’ll be a new cool RAF reward for you to spend money on your second account

Speaking of Peeves about stuff that’s in the game but we don’t get to have;
Rams.
Specifically; the Dark Iron Paladin Ram matches perfectly with the Dark Iron Heritage Armour. Great for me, since my Dark Iron is a Paladin. Kind of awful for any non-paladin Dark Iron stuck with either an awkward-looking baby core hound, or the low-resolution 2004 rams.
The worst part? The new Alterac Valley anniversary event ram is already in collections. It looks great. It’s basically an HD version of the classic rams. But we’re not going to get those updated, even though all it’d take is recoloring that to match the existing ones. Not bloody likely.

They need to update all of the racial mounts textures.
Not just textures, but the models. The Frostwolf one from AV is basically a WoD Wolf with the classic Epic Mount armor on, so that’s another set of Epic Mounts that could very easily be brought up to par, not to mention the standard wolves could use the WoD wolf models.
Horses already got a nice fresh HD update, but it only applied to the saddle-less Gilnean ones for some reason? Ridiculous. Sabers have new models aplenty dating back to MoP with the tigers, raptors… kinda got refined a bit, at least texture-wise, in WoD?
Just… do that. Instead of giving the Alliance another set of 5 horses and 3 gryphons, just update the ones we already have to look good? Please?

Haven’t bothered with PvE at all.
I just haven’t bothered with this expansion, at all.
I did all the original reps before the first patch but I’m finding it hard to be motivated to do the others.
