Pet Peeve: The Undying

Music debates just seem weird to me because I dislike almost everything that people today listen to. All these genres people talk about feels like hair-splitting to me, because it all sounds loud and a torture to my ears, usually with lyrics that make no sense to me.

About the only kinds of music I can listen to are classical music and movie and video game soundtracks.

I’m especially puzzled by people who define themselves by what music they listen to.

Alestorm is good, but it’s not the ‘‘mainstream’’ kind of music.

Metal is generally good as it’s actually real musicians doing their stuff, not some filthy autotune bullcrabs.

This is the first time I ever heard about any of these guys. Gonna check them out.

Alestorm is basically Pirate Metal, it’s so good.

Who the hell cares if music is mainstream?

And besides. There are a bunch of good mainstream bands out there.

Why has nobody mentioned Gamma Ray, Luca Turilli, Covenant, Frozen Plasma?

Only listen to REAL music.

My current peeve is that the ring on this sword is on the cutting edge, not the opposite.

What, you don’t want a blunt piece of metal stopping you from cutting up a foe?

You seen those warriors from Nazjatar? They’ve got curved swords.

Curved. Swords.

Cat jumps into my lap, then stands there bewildered for five minutes all the while his paws are digging into my legs.

Just lay down!

I love those fancy orcy weapons that by design turn swords into clubs, axes into hammers and daggers into swords. They’re ridiculous.

he got down, but not before he had to contemplate life and the universe.

While standing on my lap.

Name your cat Bodhisattva. Or Bodhi for short. He already “meditates” three fourths of his life away.

Someone killed a peon… now its a peoff :frowning:

Misplaced pride only if it is something you don’t really care about, or if you could never ever be a 9/10/11 (on your scale) - If the latter, then it’s more about being okay with your own level, and sort of accepting that. It’s perfectly fine being a 5/6 - especially if your enjoyment of the hobby (whatever it is) isn’t tied to those measurements.

If it is, then take some steps to try and get yourself up to around an 8 over time. From there you have a much easier time pushing yourself to a 9, then a 10.

*Consider it hypothetical, since I don’t know what you’re actually measuring here. Best of luck!

That means he sleeps right? Because you are correct he does.

Then spends the other quarter either; howling, begging to be fed even though his food bowl is full, biting, sitting on me, biting me while sitting on me or just standing around doing his contemplating existence thing.

Does anyone have ideas of how to grow big turnips?

Ask Baldrick.
