Pet Peeve: The Undying

Find yourself, you must.

looks around self Well, Engineer Yoda with breasts, I seem to have found myself sitting on a worn out comfortable chair, in front of a computer on a forum for a videogame, talking about another videogame.

Veteran dungeons in ESO are the best :weary:
Find yourself a PvE/social guild

Peeve: there are way too many night elf RPers with the Night Warrior option. It’s not special or meaningful anymore.

I can RP as a Forsaken with Night Warrior eyes?

Then I’ll be unique.

Like a Snowflake.

I am in a few guilds, but I am not finding anyone to go with, or anyone I feel like I could rely on.

And in regards to PvE guilds… I was in one, and it did not end well. So I’d rather not bother.

It would make me really happy if those personalities/skins were unlockable through a regular Veteran Hardmode clear, rather than additional no deaths and speedrun challenges… The next update is making the dungeons work on that principal, and I find it to be very welcoming. Would be nice if they retroactively changed the unlock process for all the dungeons.

Nothing is special or meaningful. It either looks good or it doesn’t look good.

Bringing up the skins in ESO: They are supposed to be special and/or meaningful, but many of them look repulsive or just very stupid, so I can’t imagine anyone wanting to use those

“But but but muh lore reason for special eyes…!” No. Stop it. They are not special, never were.

Then we are here on common purpose…
…Friend.

This pretty much. The sight of a nelf using the Night Warrior skin without being in Darkshore or RPing in War Zones the whole thing feels dumb to still have on… I also blame blizzard for the lack of details regarding it.

Call me an elitist if you will but that’s just how wrong it feels without some context.

It was only yesterday when I saw a couple of night warrior nelves in Stormwind, some even with “Member of the night warriors” as titles or description. And they are chilling in Stormwind…

Not recruiting, but sitting and having girl talks overlooking the docks, wat?

Can somewhat agree, but having had to carry crap dps through vet DLC dungeons I’ve been put off pugging them forever.

A regular hardmode vet clear is fairly easy, so I have to say I’m disappointed that they’re nerfing the requirements for the dungeon unlocks, because god damn was it both hard and fun to refine my Fang Lair group runs to get that personality (even though in hindsight it looks like s!ht), now I just have to clear it on vet HM? Meh.

Precisely… Honestly I don’t get why people do that.
You’re the incarnation of Elune’s wrath, you’re supposed to be close to the “ELUNE VULT!” type of RP. We’re not saying that you should be a brooding in anger like some emo teen, but all Night Warrior empowered elves are on the front if not supporting it from the backlines. It doesn’t take away your individuality, you can still engage in normal conversations as you try to save your nation.

But to just sit in SW, wondering what will be your next flower crown or often just behaving like an anime girl is really just face palming…

I know all of this is cyclical like all type of “Special RP” (God DHs and DKs were the worst) but it only takes a few bad apples to forever stain a form of roleplay.

Blizzard trying to have it two ways with the portrayal of player characters.

On the one hand we’re meant to be individually super important - Deathlord, Highlord, Champion of Azeroth, Hand of A’dal, Scarab Lord, etc. etc.

But on the other hand we’re not an actual character with impact or personality. Everything we do is faceless murder hoboing at the behest of whichever yellow ! is closest at the time.

Make up your mind Blizz. If you wanna make us an actual character - the Champion of Azeroth - then actually write us into the story properly.

But we are.

We’re the ‘‘group of adventurers’’ that gets mentioned in some books.

BfA is odd. I get that its supposed to be a war expansion, but why did they also throw in the Azerite/Muradin plotline in the middle, only to forget about it? They hyped up Azerite alot, and how we must save our world etc etc, only to have the material basically just be AP grind, and questwise just show up in like, half a zone, then left to be random WQs. And Muradin/Champion of Azeroth has nothing going on.

Even the war machines this supposed invincible mega Azerite can build, seems…fairly standard to normal WoW machinery and weapons. So what was the point of it being in the story?

That’s not a character though. It’s just an amorphous blob. If you replaced our mentions in those from “Adventurers” to “Soldiers”, nothing would change. What do we expect to see in the eventual retelling of BfA? There’s only one Champion of Azeroth after all.

Chances are that despite a single person and being instrumental to saving the entire planet they’ll be kept vague and not really mentioned.

Let us never forget how Tirion and Lich King both called us the greatest heroes of Azeroth, only for us to magically vanish in the fall cinematic(not even token models to show adventurers being there), and suddenly afterwards in the story it was Tirion alone that did it, and these “adventurers” only helped storm the citadel.

Actual peeve, why did they set a “like” limit on the forums? Why can’t I give more hearts? :frowning:

Only just now being able to show my ForsakenPride :tm: on the Forums is a peeve. Also, I look entirely too much like both Robbs and Faceslinger with this coloration of the Dreadwake helmet.

Outlaw Forsaken Pride. We give you a bit of leeway and look what happens? World War 4 happens!
