You’d have to remove corruption from their upper levels in a lot of cases. Far easier said than done, which is unfortunate.

China’s birth rate is 1.62 (that means the population will decline over time as it’s under 2).
India is not usually considered a developed country so much as develop-ing, but it only has a birthrate of 2.33 - just above decline.

Also you need to help them in a manner that is appropriate of their culture/lay of the land… instead of building a waterpump between 2 rivaling tribes for example.

They’re still a big issue considering the population and being the number 1 with like 80-90% of the world’s pollution…
and the re-education camps, China is far from any role model you should ever have.

You said China was Developed, they are not, the only thing Developed is their economy, they still have the mindsets of a developing country.
Holding them high because their population is reducing is a very bad idea.
And Calling them Developed when they hold people hostage and brainwash them NK style is an even worse idea.
Ah, a misunderstanding of ‘developing’ - it refers only to economic status, not their moral development which is obviously in the dirt somewhere and has been for some time.
Not only that and this is a common thing.
They have a very different view on life/culture/morals etc etc.
You can’t measure them with our views.
This is also why alot goes wrong in things like foreign aid and various other things, you have to take into account that these people have a completely different view then ours.
I notice that alot in (dare i say it) mostly the left that believe all the other cultures are just western cultures with different architecture and language and holidays.
Don’t they just think that Western culture is bad and the rest is good

You’d have a hard time asking what “the left” believes because it’s a very disparate group of people who hold often contradictory views.
Just the same as ‘the right’ would include your dad who likes low taxes and also literal actual fascists. I’d have a hard time finding an issue on which both people would agree but they’d both still be part of ‘the right’.
