Here’s a tip for you.
- Use Vykrul Drinking Horn (found via archaeology I believe)
- Use a toy that changes your clothing such as Faded Wizard Hat.
- Cancel the buff from the toy.
No consumables or cooldowns required.

I used to do archaeology a long time ago and never got that toy.
I refuse to touch that profession again!

Drinking Horn makes you bigger and puts the WotLK blue helmet on your head (the one with horns) for I think 10 minutes with no cooldown. The other 2 steps are to remove the helmet it gives you.

Waiting for my friend to get up to Sohr Khai so we can do it together on one of my alts.

If this is the same as using the owlbear disguise and canceling it to be in stealth animation, this is all clientside.
So Vaxir will probably still have the helmet for people who encounter Vaxir afterwards due to the model loading and all that.
Nope, it works bonafide, everyone sees the same.
Happened in the first Dragon Age for me but I guess I’m awful at signals and cues. Things worked out in the end because the writing and dialogue trees allowed it to. It’s nice when factors and choices are accounted for in games.
That’s why I don’t play many long form branching RPGs anymore. I always want to do everything and try all angles and conversations with all the factors of race, class and so on. It’s fun but exhausting.

Found the problem.
Relogging and/or changing instances cancels out these things.

Yeah, because the game will load the effect, including the antlers.
The same applies if someone will walk in on characters using it.
That’s what I mean with it being clientside. It sadly only works for those who have seen you change the effects.
I couldn’t say whether it works with other people because my use of it was when I was already in a costume (playing an Abomination) so I didn’t need to also hide the helmet.

Oh, well yeah, relogging pro’lly fels it up. So does any type of appearance change.
