Calling them ‘news’ is stretching it.
Upon returning to roleplay I find myself at such a disadvantage due to how rusty I feel. I get the sense I’ve forgotten half the language and how to phrase myself in different ways.
Also how do people make friends in WoW?
Serious answer: Kidnap them and put them in the wierdest possible situation.
To see how they react and get out of said situation which, depending on their approach, will decide my choice? Hmm…
No, because its funny to sing happy birthday badly while the are strapped to a chair made out of dead weasels.
I sure hope those were ethically gathered weasel corpses!
Runs for it
You’ll never get me alive!
Hmpf. You’re Horde!
You’ll get the same punishment you always get for murder.

Makes you wonder how can this old trick still work.
“Blame it on video games.” is an easy scapegoat when seriously anyone who can write a google search can figure out that it’s not the case.
50 years down the line people still don’t know that Video games is not an explanation. It’s a lazy excuse used by politicians to get parents of kids to vote for them and never truly addressing the real issue.
Being so exhausted from my day that my bedtime browsing has me drowsy enough to nod off briefly and almost accidentally reporting an innocent post for being improper. Damn touch screens.
One of these days I’ll somehow call the cops with my nose and alert them to break in through my sleep mumbling.

Where are the neutral RP hubs?
Why isn’t Shattrath used?! It’s huge.
THE PLANET IS DYING.
It’s still full of people, and it’s not on the edge. It’s fiiiine.
My wheat turns to dust when people touch it.
No one wants dusty wheat.
No one.
The Coalition is using Shattrath!
They are?
I’d like to see that. My Sha’tar characters need to be in a logical location!
Any sort of reporting with corporate backing in the wings is basically ideological spouting at this point. Journalism has become the fifth column in most occidental nations. Nothing short of a complete overhaul of regulations and standards along with a loosening of -individual- speech is going to balance things to equilibrium.
Similar situation but rather I find myself lapsing into the style of speech characters in the realm of Eorzea speak (FF14). Next thing I’ll be doing is having my Blood Elf speak like Urianger.
“Blame it on x” is as old as the absurd hypocrisy that was “Victorian morality”. There’s always been establishment-ist thought that seeks to conserve power (cultural and political) in the hands of the elder generation. This is proving nigh on impossible in the 21st century as the Boomer generation struggles to actually comprehend the technological changes happening in front of them, cue mass public hysteria about everything being the fault of video games.
I’m surprised we haven’t got “Video Games cause global warming” from the legacy boomer media yet - now that would be the absolute height of hilarity.
The worldvein resonance quest to unlock R3. Wow, uninspired much? It’s just annoying.
Gating the reports behind weekly. Fine. I get that. But then it’s a long mission, then another long mission, then another long mission. This is just uninteractive trash. I don’t feel like I’m earning R3 at all.
Why not throw in a quest to be completed involving an actual island expo or two after the first big mission to mix it up a bit? Something that requires you, the player, to actually do something? Even if it’s just “gather X more azerite from expeditions”. At current it’s just faceroll to earn. Why not just make it a single mission that takes like 14 days rather than just this endless wheel of missions? Anything would be better than this.
I’m pretty sure that over the course of each year at least one person in here (Russia) makes some very dumb statements about video games and how they’re sodomy about to bring the end of the world.
A localized meme in Russia from late 2018 was about an 18 year old kid from Kerch shooting a number of people with 20-odd people dead and other good 50 being hospitalized apparently.
However, what caught gamer attention was when a paid “Internet Expert” said the following on the radio following the incident:
Script of the Radio Report
Of course, the “Expert” probably meant Dota 2 but last I played it it didn’t allow me to blow up and shoot schools and didn’t have that big sweet old M rating. Neither did I see zombie hunting in there… How unfortunate.
Oh and yes. The most funny bit was when a bunch of people made the actual Doka 2 game and released it on Steam just for the sake of some laughs. https://store.steampowered.com/app/967250/DOKA_2_KISHKI_EDITION/
