I’ll wait till TW then. Cause I’m lazy. Cheers bbz.
Ah, I never got very far into Oblivion - I ragequit when I got mauled in my first playthrough, went through again after doing a ton of preparation and gear gathering and got mauled earlier than the first time. Probably aged too poorly to be enjoyable again
The fondest memory I have of Oblivion is doing a thief/assassin run, then getting to the end of the Thieves Guild questline and finding out there’s a colossal gauntlet of undead/ghost enemies. You can only damage ghost enemies with silver weapons.
Which I did not have.
it was a very long and painful jog through the dungeon
Same here. I could probably have farmed my way to that Frostwolf set by now, but I just cannot be bothered. Especially since I also have no flying so that’s two objectives to conclude when TW begins.
Recolours drop on Argus with apparent awful drop rates. Might go poke around.
I will never stop being disappointed by how they promised us the Nibenay-Colovia divide, but never delivered on it. Instead of doing the Three Romes (Nibenay is inspired by Byzantine, Colovia by Kievan Rus and Heartland by Rome) they gave us generic medieval theme which is really ???
At least ESO has made steps to remedy that, with the Slavic Kievan Rus influence being more visible in (what little) Colovian stuff we have going. They’ve also released some lore books describing the culture of Nibenay – and Abnur Tharn is the leading example of them – and we get to see that eastern culture in them, in-universe explained as Dunmer and Akaviri influence.
But Oblivion is straight up a let down compared to what we were promised.

Of course I’m a proud Roman. How could youtell?
My knowledge of TES is ‘big scrolls make the light bright’ since I started properly playing for Skyrim. I’m not the best person for this conversation :v
That was the entirety of Oblivion’s Gameplay when it came to combat, especially when you had friendly NPCs getting in the way in larger fights and the horrendous archery… One way or another you were going to get stomped, either by the Daedra or the guards you accidently hit in the previous fight.
I enjoy the Stealth Archer archetype which does explain why I liked Skyrim so much and disliked Oblivion!
It was my initial plan for Kingdom Come Deliverance too but the tutorial for archery showed me just how difficult (because it focuses on realism - no targeting reticule etc) it would be to try
Man I could really go on about breton lore. They’re unironically the best race of man.
I know enough about TES to know that every race is elves :v
Update on the Karabor set.
I got the full recolour from Augari chests on Argus
That’s a pet delight though.
This is the General Discussion And Occasionally The Odd Peeve thread
It’s a delight. But not a pet delight.
I lost my train ticket today and had to pay for another one. Not nice.
I use the app because of this. Lost mine one time too many.

May the force be with you.
The portrait in the bottom right looks like Prince charming From Shrek.
