She is, but it’s okay to have a favourite sibling and a less-favourite-but-still-well-liked-sibling.
No, its the same impact as me saying I like She-Ra more than I like Mini (both my dogs).
… but lets be real, Leo is the favourite full stop.
If that part was actually changed then I dread to imagine what it was like before because even the revamped version was too much for me. I swear I did more quests post-Ultima Weapon than pre-Ultima Weapon and I didn’t even finish ARR.
As said, i haven’t experienced it yet, so can’t say what’s changed.
i think my most burning question over it is; Did you have to go find tea in Coerthas?
EDIT: because if that poxy quest is still in the game, i swear to god…
It’s been a while since I played so I can’t remember the details but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the quests had me go find tea in Coerthas.
I really should start playing again but I struggle to find the time for it.
They have not
So much tedious trash. So, so much. You are even still obligated to do the crystal tower raid if you wanna progress at some point
Oh yeah, I think this is the point where I stopped playing.
i’m enjoying what i’m playing, for the most part.
but my friend keeps asking if he should give it a go again and i am finding it hard to recommend. it may be that it improves later, and i plan to stick it out to find out, but encouraging someone to play through all of this is a big ask
and i’m not even at the tedious bit yet apparently
You out of Castrum yet?
Being fair, I’d recommend it over WoW. You just have to get out of ARR ASAP.
You don’t ever HAVE to do CT, i didn’t do it until I was at the end of Stormblood (and i only did it because my friend was like; you get a roulette, so EXP)
I thought I was at the final dungeon, but that wasn’t the final one. Apparently there is another one to actually fight Ultima Weapon.
I think I’m done for now, I’ve been playing for hours. I’ll pick it back up later maybe.
Honestly cant blame you it really hurts
It does
Heavensward and onward, even late ARR, are fantastic
But you gotta stick through a total mess first
Aymeric is worth it though
I think to WoW’s benefit, the game isn’t so story driven that you have to play through everything to be able to follow. It means that you can skip entire expansion stories to get to where the fun is.
Imagine if new players had to play through every zone from Vanilla through to Shadowlands. That would burn people out real quick.
Not that I’m ragging on FF14 here, I’m enjoying it, it’s just a crutch for them to deal with.
Just to note, Prae is 45 minutes at least. So make sure you have that kind of time to do it.
And when a later quest tells you there’s a long cutscene ahead, they mean it. Like, really mean it. Clear out an hour or so.
Yeah I figured as much, that’s why I called it a day. I’m back on kid duty soon.
For reference, I’ve clocked 47 hours in the game so far. I’d give maybe 3-4 of those to me grinding out lancer to 17 once I switched from gladiator.
They changed it so you have to do CT to progress now, for spoilery reasons.
Yep, it’s mandatory now. Really annoyed me
That’d be horrible.
but FF14 is not the treadmill that WoW has become.
i can basically, sub for a month, do the new content and then leave until the next patch is out and not be seriously behind.
But they are 2 different playstyles. if you have TIME to sit down and play WoW, then yeah, WoW’s great.
On the other hand though, FF14 is something I’d suggest to somebody who likes playing JRPGs and not somebody who likes playing MMOs.
I have often said that FF often forgets that its an MMO.
So it is better for people who like a big story to follow.
I think that is why it appeals to me. I love me a JRPG.
