Well my morning didn’t start well. Having my online classes for uni again per usual, except my computer deadlocked itself with freezes a couple of times. By the time I got it to work and I tuned in to my lecture, I had no idea what was going on. Some guy who hero worships Elon Musk was on talking about his architecture project. I nodded along and pretended like I understood while I was filling out an order for lunch.

I see why people find this part of FF14 so tedious. There is very little actual gameplay, it’s mainly just going from one person to the next to talk.
The other thread about shadow priests reminded me of a pet peeve of mine.
Darkspear Troll characters acting all disgusted / repulsed by shadow magic and forgetting their racial leaders are shadow hunters.

Shadowhunters aren’t shadow users exactly though. It’s just a name. They get their power from multiple loa.
Can they use shadow magic? Yeah. But I imagine trolls just see it as another form of voodoo.
I must admit, I kind of start skipping cutscenes at some point.
I know the basics of what happens, I just have never watched it the whole way through.
I like me some talky games but I get the feeling its less Disco Elysium and more “and now I will talk at you for 2-20 mins”.
