I think Kul Tiras and Zandalar were both very cool. BFA had issues, but the issue was not the setting. I adored both islands.
being stuck in a realm you cannot leave and can never die sounds like torture too
Welcome to theology. Don’t think about it too hard

Been working overtime on the regular that it’s now a running joke for people to ask me if I’m okay when leaving on-time. But we gotta keep getting that bread yall.
My god, I know I shouldn’t just trust what some guy on a video says but AUGUST for 9.1? Wtf!!!

When testing a (14 year old) game for bugs, which used to be a paid job, is now classed as a ‘privilege’.
The absolute state of the WoW team rn.
Mom baked a cake.
I tried the cake.
It appears I’ve lost my sense of cake and smell.
what’s the context here
That’s literally it, the first tweet is the instigator and he doesn’t expand on it.
Seems to be with regards to people being very toxic (presumably in zone chat or something?)
Classic itself, certainly on PvP servers is a toxic mess as it is. Unsurprising if that’s the kind of behaviour they’re seeing on beta.
I know some people treat it as early access and complain about things not being 100‰ working instead of reporting bugs
Also roleplaying in Stormwind. Most people seem to use the pronoun setting as intended, but also some really cringworthy people trolling with it.
One who also has the old “ignore X guilds/PCU” unsurprisingly.
I hate to defend Blizzard, but voluntary beta-testing is (or was) at the very least an exchange. You gain early access for the game and in return, the company you’re beta-testing for gets a little play-testing for their game, which allows them to tweak mechanics, bug-fix or take entire features back to the drawing board.
But I guess in this modern era where lots of people view betas as demos and wouldn’t dream of wasting their time by giving feedback, access can be thought of as a privilege - especially if the developers themselves have surrendered to that mindset. It’s evident that Blizzard doesn’t actually expect players with beta access to beta-test.
Halo 3 beta was great
