Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

It’s not a peeve, this is just general chat.

Quinton Flynn has been replaced as Kael’s VA due to the whole (ALLEGEDLY FOR LEGAL REASONS) sexually harassing/grooming fans.

Wonder if Square’s gonna dump him from Axel in KH. Hope they do.

Im sure I remember some furor about him ages back, mostly because the mention of him being Axel’s VA rings some bells.

Peeve; worrying that some of good stuff being mined will either turn out to be for NPCs only or just… never make it, like a lot of the Exiles Reach stuff :frowning:

Boralus NPCs and their cool sailor outfits and knit beanies make me angery. Come on blizzard add them as a random grey drop or give them to a vendor you cowards.

Is this a real thing?

The context is usually really boring & or actually nothing. Never expect anything beyond face value with Blizzard. Always expect the most obvious thing.

There’s a number of weapons in the game - especially for nightborne, void elves and dark irons - that match the heritage sets. They’re in the game. The models are there, ready to be used, and have been for years now.

They are completely unobtainable.

And then there’s the case of the actually iconic night elf sentinel glaive, which has been a symbol of Night Elf stuff since Warcraft 3, so a perfect heritage weapon.

And it’s hard-locked not only as a “Warglaive” but also specifically locked to “Demon Hunter Only” despite DH’s being the only ones who can equip them anyway! :upside_down_face:

ff14 and just general media related peeve here for a moment.

terrible situation and/or impossible enemy facing protagonist and friends which threatens you immediately. 10 minutes of monologue/goodbyes/pleading while the threat waits patiently for you to finish

edit: worst example of this i saw in ff14, without spoiling anything, was a character holding up a collapsing ceiling so you and your friends could escape. you then spend a great deal of time saying your goodbyes to him and trying to convince him not to sacrifice himself

dude is there literally carrying the weight of an entire building and is already wounded waiting for you to just get out

Look, you don’t want to be rude and interrupt people while they’re speaking. Yes, we’re going to kill each other and YES I may be trying to inflict a number of warcrimes on people BUT we can at least be polite about it.

Common courtesy not a quality I ever expected from villains. I guess I just should have raised my expectations of them.

You’ve heard of the Gentleman Thief archetype
now we have the Gentleman Warcrimer archetype

isn’t that just James Bond?

I dumped a load of images of the models that are in the system but not seen anywhere on the forums somewhere.

Like Elenthas said, there’s heritage weapons and also a weird amount of redone HD wrath stuff. Some redone TBC stuff too.

Painfully relatable for my British folk. Not sure how it is in the other nations.

In fairness the turkish barbers I go to for my hair a) play music, so no silence and b) they do my hair how I ask

They do also have loud banter with people they know who wander in though.

I went to a Turkish barber a few years ago in Tunbridge Wells, first time in my life just because I’d never seen one before.

At one point I swear they like set my ears on fire or something intentionally. I’m still not 100% sure what that was for.

Am i the only one who hates visiting Maldraxxus? It has to be one of the ugliest zones to date. Those rotting, falling apart npcs are not helping. Terrible to look at, all of it

Pre-release, I thought I’d hate it. But when I’m there, I enjoy it. I can see why someone might not like it - the same colour scheme wherever you look, for example - but I just really enjoy its charms.
