Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

It didn’t drop me off there. It spawned me at Deepwood Vale.

Oh, that’s weird - that’s the location for the Greymoor tutorial but that’s been disabled according to UESP, odd that they’d do that.

Must be a glitch. Might just select another area to level! Which is the most fun? I have up to the Skryim expansion, I just chose that one because it’s the most recent I have.

I found Morrowind the most fun, personally! Summerset and Elsweyr are also good, though (although I’ve plenty of gripes with the former, everything is very pretty and smooth-flowing!)

I might try Morrowind then in that case

stop it stop it stop it

A handful of hours and the raid opens in the US, fully expecting to some meltdown tomorrow when the end cinematics are out.

I’m barely touching Korthia, I’m only gonna get renow to 44, obtain flying and then never bother with it until the last patch.

As for tomorrow, if the cinematic is just another “Look how awesome, tragic, consequence free Sylvannas is.” well, I’ll just express dissapointment, nothing more, nothing less.

Peeve : Dead servers.

Sylvanas will be the new hakkar which keeps appearing every expansion or milhouse manastorm.

My expectations are pretty much as low as it is possible for them to get. So I guess I won’t be disappointed at least.

Hakkar should have been the Blood God that threatened Zuldazar - keep the Old God undercurrent to him, even.

imagine getting hakkar for zuldazar instead of a test lab maggot

‘instead of these very obvious and good choices for these instances, we’re actually gonna introduce a new completely random and probably old-lorebreaking things that nobody cares about and you’ll totally enjoy it, honest !!!’

Par for the course, really.

That, in and of itself, is a peeve… Cos it. Keeps. HAPPENING.

Yeah, i dont need poor story writing, i can break the lore on my own, tyvm.

Good lore is the sort with plenty of good anchor points, yet enough wiggle room to allow for interesting and FUN players creations.

That’s right, Blizz, I said FUN! Go on, retreat like a vampire before the sun!

Sadly only so much you can do when you only have a zone or so to build up a character and it’s a set up for the later themes of BFA.

Hakkar has instant ‘oh, this guy’ recognition - personally I’d have him revealed as a not-quite-old-god-not-quite-Loa-either creature. The Old Gods fought a lot against the Troll Empire, so it makes perfect sense for them to try and corrupt the Loa that the trolls rely on for a large amount of their power, and sets up how as N’zoth (the Corruptor, lest we forget his title) begins to prod the edges of his cell that they begin to succeed and spread the infection to Rezan, to the Prophet who relies on the Shadow for his source of potential futures.

Maybe the Titans took Y’shaaj’s blood to Uldir to try and study and dissect it, which led to it inspiring fanatical devotion and faith in the local trolls who then venerated the remains as a Loa and created Hakkar.

or something idk I’m not a blizzard writer

And yet that’s still 100% more interesting and thought-through than what we tend to get :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not 100% that the timelines match up to make it work but what’s the occasional shifting of timelines between friends eh blizzard

and this one doesn’t even make the night elves look retroactively foolish like every other insert into warcraft’s past

Ok but I can’t wipe a raid by reffering to Hakkar as a “toothy butthole” in the first phase like I could G’huun.
