Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

It was an awkward proposal but not quite that bad.

My relationship started with my partner saying one day

“So I’m coming to visit you”
“Oh! Okay, cool!”
“And I’m spending the night”
“:flushed:”

Must have been a very engaging night of playing Mahjong

Mine started over on Deviantart :joy:

Did end up visiting her though nothing funky happended, too ace for that stuff.

Also not surprised whatsoever at actiblizz being sued as they are

It’s big

And from seeing some old videos and Afrasiabi being named specifically it’s clear this is a Blizzard problem.

I didn’t realise just how wrong the ‘new woke brigade’ nonsense is. Christie Golden wrote her first WoW book in 2001. Afrasiabi joined in 2004.

Afrasiabi has always rubbed me the wrong way, from his “Holier than thou” attitude to the sleezy way his body language is at the cons.
Old blizz was still nerds and the nerd culture at the time was… quite bad. It’s still not good, but it’s better than now.

Well, after having caught up a little, I hope the perpetrators get what they deserve.

Still, it seems I will have to learn how to become a chinese goldfarmer and start playing on wow-tokens, as I’m now caught in the " I really don’t want to give these guys more money, yet , I also don’t want to give up wow yet due to the people I know here."

WoW tokens are more profitable for Blizzard; costs 50% more for someone to buy a token to sell on the AH than a month’s sub.

We’ve all got our limits on things like this - if we boycotted every company that did something shady, illegal on horrible we’d only have a couple of companies left.

All I can say is speak out about it and don’t give more than you need to, and try and find alternatives.

Well damn. So much for that grand plan.

Definetly true, and I am glad that atleast I dont give them money past buying gametime, can’t recall the last time I used a gameservice or anything, and the only time I bought a pet from the store was for a friend’s birthday who gave me one for my own.

A fellow ace! fistbump

I was quite keen to jump back into RP, honestly, but this has taken the wind out of my sails something fierce. I wonder how far back all this goes? Even with all the missteps as of late, there’s no setting that scratches the itch quite like Warcraft’s for me.

Why can’t people just be decent? Is it really that hard?

Yeah.

I don’t want to say I’d “never play WoW again” because i miss playing it, this has been the longest that I haven’t played the game and my itch to come back has started.

on the other hand, not much has changed in game and all this coming light now…

For some people, it evidently is. But I always think that people are not born being a douche, being a douche is a conscious choice.

Yeah, you’re probably better off staying away for a while.

And you know, I talked about it with a friend, and I actually hope FF14 manages to hurt WoW even more than it does. Not because I will play it, because JRPG’s and I are just not compatible, but because it will either force Blizz to make some good changes if they want to remain competitive, and listen more to player feedback again. Either that or they pull the plug from the game and I am free to go do something else. Either way, I win.

I was hoping to go for, like, one reset without something driving me back out but that does also make it easy for me to quit again.

Me too.

Not because i want to see WoW crash and burn (I don’t) but because WoW needs healthy competition.

Its how i feel about any new asymetric pvp game that comes out since BHVR also needs a kick up the rear.
