I really wish I could see the humour in it, but “i know best, to hell with democracy” is a running gag that wore out its welcome quite some time ago.
At least he seems to have fallen face-first in the attempt, which is a silver lining.

A friend had a spare code for Cassette Beasts which is indie pokémon. Tried it out for an hour just to dip my toes in and while none of the monster designs so far have really set my mind afire, the soundtrack is pretty neat. Certainly a requirement for a game all around turning into monsters via the power of cassette tapes though.
You wouldn’t think that martial law can be defeated simply by calling the guy doing it a massive loser, but turns out sometimes that’s all you need.
