but seriously Wizards just have the most expansive spell list, it’s their ‘thing’. I hate it, it sucks, it’s boring. A lot of spellcasters in 5e become more unique and interesting with their spell lists the moment you delete the wizard from existence.
Plant Growth is rarely run this way but technically its area of effect is a 100ft radius, not 100ft radius circle, so really it makes a massive spherical ball of plants (centred on a plant in range).

i’ll never forgive pathfinder games for getting my hopes up with plant domain only to be met with ‘haha ur level 9 spell is mind blank.’

Are all good spells. Many of them are even incredible spells, and you can upcast them too to increase the damage.
combining a druid that casts ‘make nasty plants’ with any kind of ‘move enemy’ ability tends to be very overpowered.
i’ve heard spore druid is interesting, but it never appealed to me
Spike Growth and Entangle alone, without upcasting, are lethal spells both CC-wise and damage-wise for quite a few levels.
Spore Druid makes an excellent “not-a-vampire-but-kinda-is” subclass if you refluff all the spores as like…bats or blood. Doesn’t really work in BG3 though, for obvious reasons.
btw that andor season 2 trailer was
