I’ve read the rules of Secret Hitler and it turns out that all this time we’ve been playing it wrong, because the host (who owns the game) misinterpreted the rules actually knows the standard rules and adopted these house rules deliberately. And he has played countless games with the altered rules and we’re used to them by now, and are having fun.
But it leaves me with the dilemma of which rules to use when hosting the game IC in WoW: the standard ones, or ours?
I don’t think that’s within the wheelhouse of blood magic, at least what we’ve seen.
The closest thing that I can think of is the flesh-shaping of the mogu, which is used to permanently alter its subjects. I can imagine a particularly vicious and deranged mogu villain who might use blood magic to warp their own flesh into monstrous combat forms, but that’s not really a playable character.
There’s also the blood magic of orcs (and trolls, though they can use alchemy and voodoo to accomplish this instead) used to permanently warp their kind into dire versions, who serve as big, scary shock troops.
So blood magic can be used to facilitate transformation and heal injuries, but not really in the way that druids do it, and I don’t think it lines up with other sorts of druidic magic either.
Tapping into the Emerald Nightmare out of spite after being denied access to the Dream sounds a lot more reasonable to me, though.
Could also have someone styling themselves as a druid while in reality they are using blood magic to twist and shape flora and fauna to their liking.
“Look I have made this horrid beast docile because I am nature’s friend (and because I have made it grown brain tumours the size of golfballs that have basically lobotomized it).”
The Nightmare is gone, but it’s possible to move to learning from satyr and void manipulation of nature to produce some filthy apostasy in a similar vein?
Doesn’t the Emerald Dream 10.2 questing still show the Nightmare showing up here-and-there? It simply looks like its become more of a natural than artificial type of nightmare that gets created by bad dreams and etc.,
It is currently sealed away and kept watch over by Cenarius. The issue is just that we…don’t really have any specifics on how solid that seal is, or whether it fully stops the Nightmare manifesting at all, and if its permanent etc. etc.
I’d rather stick with the seal being sealed.
Satyr and the use of fel or void is still a generally active avenue.
Both can have corrupt forms and the latter is great at changing shapes. It’s like Tzeentch in a dark dress.
There is also a path of rot and decay, like what the gnolls were using.
Heading to warhammer world today for their birthday event so I was like ‘oh! With the old world being set in the past maybe Repanse de Lyonesse is around!’
no, even in the prequel she’s been dead for like 200 years god damn it
A while back, I complained about how the dialogue for the skyriding world quests didn’t take into account that they might occur underground, or not during daytime.
